This weekend we've got a big wedding coming up, and Malin's feeling nervous about being around people with her stoma. But that's not going to stop her enjoying life and the wedding!
This week, we're enjoying the beautiful Swedish nature and it feels like summer is here! We're living the outdoor life and giving our kids the best life we can. Life with a stoma doesn't have to be all negative.

Who are we?

We are a young 'Swenglish' adventure family, that consists of Swedish Malin, English Tom, and babies Charlie & Isabella, who are half and half. Oh what a WONDERFUL vlog. LOVED the creative cowboy ad for sure 👍 How SUPER that the kids are on a sup board out in nature instead of in concrete jungles re nursery and house. When I first started working in a day nursery the daily routine of a 2yr old was house, car, nursery, house. I was only 18yrs old and thought that surely there's another way to bring up kids. And you have proved that there is. The outdoors is excellent for wellbeing. Marlin, your bravery and positivity will always shine through and we are right behind u at the wedding. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Your message is SO important to everyone.... society is so judgemental and its so unfair. Just because someone is smiling it doesn't mean they are ok. Nobody is perfect ...next time we want to criticise or make hurtful comments we should stop and think more carefully. Don't let ANYONE get you down!

I just Love you two. The Infomercial was awesome. You two should be in movies. Loved it. What the Lie you 4 are living right now. I miss traveling with my 5th wheel and parking up against the water, pulling the slides out and enjoying the Outdoors. Can I come go with you? lol. Malin, I can’t even imagine the how being dressed up and at a Wedding for the 1st time with a stoma would be so nerve racking, but I know you will persevere thru and overcome another anxious setting. They do make stoma bags that capture the noises they sometimes make. You’re going to do just great sweetie, and I cannot wait to see you,Tom,Charlie and Bella all decked out. Y’all are going to have so much fun regardless of your stoma. It will act good for you! Thank you for sharing you advertising of the portable coffee maker. Who ever came up with that is genius. I can understand that a social setting would raise concerns for Malin but I think her approach is really good and we would be so lost without her lovely smile. There is a sign on the public buses here and it is for seats for disabled and the sign says 'not all disabilities are visible'. Which is to say that there could be other people worried about a social setting for totally different reasons. I still say, though, Malin's smile would be one of the best! Loved the expresso advert but I don't drink coffee - you two are darn good in it!

Malin, I get it. Live my life around privacy. Had one foot of descending colon removed due to an abscess. I was septic. Pretty scary. Now three years later, still living with emergent bowels. But hey, I’m living. Make adjustments and you don’t have to tell anyone anything. Go enjoy the dress, the wedding and your cowboy!

It’s nice to know I’m not alone but it’s also sad we’re so many who struggle day to day! And get these anxieties around gatherings. But it’s nice to find a community where you can talk about it and people understand what you’re going through!

Malin you’re an inspiration to anyone new to a stoma. Educating the rest of us is so important and I thank you for teaching me about something I knew nothing about. I can understand being a bit anxious. So far I have been lucky with Stuart D. Stoma not making really obvious sounds when I have been out in public. Once in awhile he can get a bit rowdy. We just never know. I think people that know you and would come to the wedding would understand all eventualities.

Malin, I'm an "older" woman of 63 and I must say you are one of the most BEAUTIFUL women that I have ever come across. Please enjoy yourself in whatever you wear. You are beautiful inside and out no matter what! I was hoping to hear results today but we have to wait...no worries, right?! After battling cancer for a year, I got told last week that it is incurable (it wont kill me yet but I will have to learn to live with it) and then the next day I was told my endometriosis has spread to my bowels. I will need a hysterectomy (for non stop bleeding due to adenomyosis), an endometriosis excision surgery and a bowel resection which may lead to a stoma. I am dealing with other disabilities and health issues too. Absolutely terrified and very upset after everything I have been through…. I am usually very positive and smiling but I have my moments!

You are incredibly brave Malin , the wedding will be just fine remember all those going care about you so will understand,make a joke of a small problem perhaps If you need the loo or make a funny noise ,say my stoma has a mind of its own ,but can’t really complain it saved my life❤You got this sweetheart with results you are going to get great results praying for you all.🙏

My friend has a stoma for 8 years now, and said she also feel social anxiety when going to parties etc...but it's getting easier the more you do it. Have a great time at the wedding! I can sympathise. My stoma is a couple of months older that yours. Today it loudly joined in when people were singing happy birthday to me! It’s not very musical but makes up for that with noise!
