It's time for our first wedding of the year!! We are so excited to get dressed up and dance the night away with friends - I even attempted to make my own hat for the occasion!
I also give you a 6-month baby update, and talk openly and honestly about my struggles this time around with severe sleep deprivation.
Weddings and babies aside, I also talk about the changes we are making to live a much simpler and cleaner life, starting with the products we use on a daily basis. Please find the links below to everything I discuss:

Honestly Meghan , if you are so sleep deprived I think a house project might tip you over the edge . You need to seriously think about your mental health. Sending you many hugs . ❤️❤️

Megan I fed my 2 babies for 7 months, until they got their first tooth !! Had to get them onto more solids esp at bedtime..a wee feed of baby rice or porridge.. and if they woke they got a dummy... I ended up with mastitis as she was using me as a dummy too.. I also was recommended reflexology for the mastitis as after 3 courses of antibiotics still didnt clear but the reflexology was great, I swear by it... ❤ You do have to look after you so try a wee pamper for yourself every now and again. It will all come together soon, Try some gentle music in her room when she wakens, as it may be jus a habit shes in.. You look amazing (no botox req!) Jus more sleep.. I hope you get more soon. Love from Co Antrim...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Maybe cut out the day time napping. If she doesn't want to sleep, you cant make her. She needs to be really tired to sleep long stretches and if the only way to get her there is to cut out the daytime sleeps, then so be it. Or maybe let jamie take care of her during the day and you take a long nap every day. I nursed 5 babies but i put mine in bed with me, latched them on and we both slept great lol.

Thank you so much for sharing what postpartum is actually like. It can feel so lonely sometimes and makes me feel like I'm failing when I need to go off and have a cross/sad moment on my own. It's so difficult and the sleep deprivation hits so hard and seems endless. It's reassuring to know that you're not going through this alone and there are other muns experiencing the same ❤ I hope it gets better for you soon! X

Well done on the hat. Looks lovely with the dress. Back in the day, the “better” dress shops offered buckram hats of different shapes that would be dyed to match the outfit. Have a lovely time at the wedding.

Oh Megan, I send many hugs to you! ❤️ I always thought I was the only one who always leaves the salon disappointed. Since I had my hair done (many blonde highlights all over the head) in Poland once and was totally in love with the result I never got this hair again. I live in Germany and I already tried out so many salons 😟 But it's new to me that the hardness of water affects the blonde. Do you know more about it? Does hard water make the hair look more yellowish? I always suggested that the hairstylists here in Germany are super careful and even too careful, so they don't use as much % of peroxid as it needed and leave it too short on one's head so the hair doesn't have the possibility to get white for this beautiful light blonde look. I really enjoyed this video- It was great to see you projecting your wedding outfit. Truly you are my role model in terms of styling and I really love your style Megan. Your wedding look is gorgeous as always and I think you shouldn't be ashamed if you consider to do a Botox Treatment. If you don't overdo it than I think it is totally okay to make the wrinkles a litte less and I (23y.) said to myself that in a few years plan to get a Botox Appointment for my forehead wrinkles- everyone gets them but I will feel more comfortable if they are not that deep.

I remember when my baby wouldn’t sleep, so I went to the doctor and I said I think he needs sleeping pills while the doctor just laughed at me and said no way but I’ll give you some sleeping pills meaning it was my bad that I was running to him all the time. I finally put some toys in his crib just a few soft toys and then I let him cry for about 20 minutes and I must say I cried for 40 minutes and my husband left the house and said call me when he stop crying. But after he learn to sue them self and play with his toys instead of cry he would go to bed easily I’m not saying he went to sleep quickly but he didn’t cry and to this day he never sleeps in later than 5 AM and he is now the father of two so I’m just telling you we all live through it Somers harder than others but in the end we all end up doing it and so are you. One little suggestion perhaps you should give her A bottle before you put her down for the night instead of nursing her perhaps that will make the event not so mommy and me time (please excuse my mixed up grammar it’s late and I am old). The last thing I have to say is it’s like labour you’ll remember it but without the agony you’re going through now and they grow up really quick. Enjoy your beautiful family I know I do❤

Hi Meghan, I think I might know exactly why your Poppy will not sleep! When I had my first child, I did everything just as you and was at my wits end because he would not sleep. We went to visit my mom one weekend and everyone was already in bed and here I was with my son in the middle of the night…awake! My mom got up and asked what was wrong and I told her I had no idea what more to do to get him to sleep. She gave me her advice, saying, “That baby’s hungry!” Of course I rejected it right away because I told her I had given him a bottle before I laid him down. She retorted, “Give me that baby!” And she took him, mixed some baby cereal with formula, fed him, burped him, and put him down! He slept ALL night!! I learned a lesson I never forgot that helped me with two more babies and nine grand babies, Listen to those who have gone before and then you’ll know what to do! He slept every night thereafter 😊 I sure hope this will be of some help ❤

This comes from a warm place, I know it’s not easy to share those things on the internet and people throw options on you. Please you re saying that Jamie does a good job. But honestly you re almost breaking apart while he’s sleeping a full night . He hasn’t taken a night shift once?. Imagine it would be the other way around, why do we always have these expectations of woman and not men. I’m not judging Jamie as an individual at all, it’s the society we grew up in and I’m happy you re great parents to both. However, I want to empower woman to put some work on their husbands - it’s normal - “helping out” once in a while isn’t enough, your both equally responsible for those 2 so why should you break apart.

Hi Megan. I'm also a blonde and I live in Stamford so I fully get the hard water issues with hair. I use Sophie Kitson Hair and she's fantastic. I've been going to Sophie for years I even carried on having her when I lived in Spain. She's brilliant at getting and keeping my blonde as I like it. If you'd like her number let me know. Plus she's lovely. Hang on in there with Poppy. Is she on solids yet? It made all the difference for both my kids as they were hungry babies xx

I was told about Yuka about 3 weeks ago and it's changed my life, too! It's also cost me a fortune as I ended up throwing away most of my cosmetics and toiletries and a load of stuff in my food cupboard. You don't mention if you paid for the premium version but I've found it's definitely worth it because not only can you search for items (very handy if you're shopping online so you don't have a barcode to scan) but also if you scan something that's poor/bad it'll give you some good/excellent alternatives. Like you I've been amazed at how many products that are marketed as being so good for you are just the opposite. It's been an absolute game changer and I was tickled pink to hear it's the same for you.

Hello Meghan & Jaime! I have not come across your page for over 6 months. But, it seems you both have accomplished alot!!! A new home! Adjusting, fixing, going out and shop for the home! Another beautiful addition to the family! Adjusting your life in caring, learning and placing things in action for Rupert. Now learning a new schedule with your new born, while continuing your schedule with Rupert. And, that is wonderful how you compliment Jaime, how he supports you! You both have done a lot! Don’t underestimate yourselves! Yet, I believe motherhood is the greatest opportunity God has blessed us with. Imagine, as women we’ve been blessed to bring a life into this world of Christianity! You and Jaime, are doing wonderful and are very loving to your children, and to each other! I have learned to meditate on the Word, daily! For God the Father is our main source of comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:2-7 Pray is a conversation to God, just as you are sharing about Poppy’s sleep patterns. Bring your concerns to Him every morning. And, in due time everything works out! Just believe, pray and meditate on the Word! You love music! Music nourishes our soul. Have you been singing to Poppy? If I recall correctly, did you not sing while she was in your womb? Maybe she’s missing that from you!!! ♥️ Everything will be fine! You’re doing everything right! Why? Because you’re doing it with LOVE!!! 1 Corinthians 16:14 When you need an uplift watch the video of Rupert. See all his accomplishments because of you & Jamie! Or watch your epic wedding video! You both inspired the world with your love and charisma. Don’t ever lose your joy! It’s contagious! And, don’t forget to place your prayer life first! I would never push my faith upon you, but you always talked about blessings! Therefore, I know we you would not be offended. Take care & God Bless! May you & Jaime continue to be blessed in shining your hearts and sharing your talents! ♥️

Hey! Sorry to hear that you are not sleeping enough, this is a big struggle. Sleep deprivation is a torture method. It is super hard! It is not fair that all the heaviness is on you. Have you considered doing night swaps? Maybe it's worse initially, but she will get used to his dad very quickly. Please consider sharing the load with your husband, the way you are talking it's not respectful of yourself and the hard work you are doing. He is not doing a good job because he bears with your grumpiness. You are tired and he should show up and say this night I'll do it myself, so you can have a full night of sleep. It shouldn't be only on your shoulders. You should also have energies during the day to run after Rupert and to be the fun mum. Changing the narrative is hard but it will be worth it in the end! Lots of strength and love to you Megan!

Meghan, my kids are grown up but can say that I never had really bad nights, breast fed on demand, at 6 months trying different solids including weetabix.Reduced nap times as they got older during the day but both by 6 months were sleeping through the night.10 - 6, of course there were some bad nights(teething etc) and at about 1 doing 11-12 hrs. Didn't work with the first but with the second one went back part time still breast feeding. Sleep is so important for baby and mummy.Good luck.

I totally understand what you mean about the difficulty of sleep deprivation; my baby was exactly the same. I never managed to find a cause either (and also tried all the things you mention), but at 10months baby's sleep just improved by itself. Sometimes I think it's just a question of age. However you really need to find a time that you can sleep, to partially make up for the sleep you miss out on at night. Could Jamie look after Poppy in the evening, or in the morning after the morning feed? Or could he look after Rupert when Poppy has her midday nap so that you can also sleep? Good luck

It’s so difficult to wait for your baby to start sleeping. I can fully understand, and most fully empathize. With our second child we had to let him sleep in our bed in order for any of us to get any sleep. One night I was pacing the floor and he just wouldn’t settle. I set him on our bed, not knowing what else to do, and he immediately stopped fussing and zonked out. I think he was about two months old, maybe less. It was such a blessing; never did I expect him to go to sleep right at that moment. And from then on we kept him with us. I know that the experts don’t suggest co-sleeping. We never planned on it, it just happened. He stayed in our bed until he was over a year. Our doctor at the time said that he would never be able to sleep on his own, but I knew he would and he did. When baby no. 3 came along we tried co-sleeping but she wasn’t having it. She was happier in her crib. Baby no. 4 found his thumb, and he was a great sleeper on his own. I wish I had the perfect solution for you. You need sleep. So, I will pray for you and baby to enjoy longer stretches of sleep.

My hair has never been the same since having children. I’m afraid to say, everything changes 😬My second child did not sleep until he was 4 1/2. It was a tough few years. I never got more than 2 hours sleep in one go. He rarely slept in the day at all. I tried everything, but nothing worked. I even took him to see a cranial specialist for chiropractic treatment for several weeks, but that didn’t help sadly.

You looked lovely in your hat and dress. That dress is so pretty. I hope things get better for you. I must have been really lucky because I never had any of those issues. My son slept through the night very quickly after being born. I remember my Mom and I staying up waiting for him to wake up to be fed. We were both nodding off and realized he was sound asleep and we were being silly. LOL. Off to bed we went. I don't know, maybe things were not so complicated in those days. I did not worry about the hours between feedings or naps. If he was hungry, he ate and if he was sleepy he slept. In any case, take care of yourself and taking on a big project with two small kids? No way.

she is either hungry or not tired enough. I had a friend who took her daughter's afternoon nap away. On a lighter note, she has YOU well-trained. My kids are 35 and almost 33, it has been a while since I have done baby stuff. I do remember adding baby cereal to her nighttime bottle. Another thought is putting her down later rather than earlier. best to you and your family. P.S. Your reception video was perfection. I loved how you put a personal touch to the words of love and friendship on all you sang.

Have you tried going in just before she would wake? It sounds like she has almost trained herself to cry after that set 3 hours? If you can soothe her a little before that moment it might help? My daughter was very similar and a nurse recommended this to me and it really was a game changer. She would sleep until 1 in the morning and then that was it. So we would go in just before 1 and calmly shush her, rub her back etc and then that should be enough to calm her through. Good luck!
