Congratulations you were so beautiful ❤ My daughter’s wedding was 6 months ago, her dress was almost exactly like yours with the sleeves, it fits perfectly no showing any cleavage and she was wearing my veil that her grandmother handmaded for me 40 years ago 😢so special 🩵 No wedding is 100% perfect but as you said the most important part is the couple who love and cherish each others 💞

On my wedding day (21yrs ago) my mother gave me the best advice... no one knows what I have planned so don't stress when something doesn't go the way I want it to. We had several little things go wrong but no one knew. So now, that's the same advice I give to others who are about to get married. You looked beautiful and everything looked fabulous. Congratulations to you and Colton, your such a beautiful couple and compliment each other perfectly. We had a outdoor wedding on the river at my Sisters home with 30 lanterns that my sweet Brother- in-law ran around trying to keep lit as it poured so hard the tent collapsed. We still laugh and smile about that special day and even our young nephews said it was the best wedding they have been too. I’m from a big fun family and they made sure no big rain storm was going to ruin our special day. I pray you and Colton will be as happy as me and husband have been and that your blessed abundantly! It rained on our outdoor wedding as well, in East Flat Rock, NC about 1 hour south of Asheville. Everyone said it’s a sign of good luck… just celebrated 34 years of marriage. Congratulations!

I was a wedding planner for 12 years & I have so many stories from over the years, but I what I wish is that every bride I ever worked with was as sweet & kind as you are. Sara Jane... you were a beautiful bride! Colton was a gorgeous groom! As for the rain... when I was married in July 1988, it had not rained for weeks to where there was an actual drought. The day we married, it was hot, humid, and miserable. We were married in a church, BUT as soon as we exited the church, it poured cats and dogs! I mean, Mother Nature must have saved all the rain for my wedding day. Guess what?! Rain on your wedding day is a GOOD OMEN; HAVE BEEN married now for 36 YEARS! So if this is a true good luck omen as I've been told...your marriage will be long and happy! Best Wishes To You Both! Thank you for sharing your day with us!

I also married in July of 1988 (on the 23rd). I was in South Georgia and we are still married, also. There were hiccups to the wedding, but we, too, still laugh about those.

There's a saying sbout rain on wedding day " Rain on your wedding day is good luck because it signifies that your marriage will last." As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie - therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel - Hindu tradition says. The rain thing happened on my daughter’s wedding day too! An absolute monsoon! And ended 45 minutes before her wedding began. It was a backyard wedding but my dad had the brilliant idea of covering the entire backyard in plastic sheeting and held down with bricks and everything heavy we could find before the rain came. It totally worked! One muddy spot but it didn’t make any difference. It was so fun!

I would never have an outdoor wedding, because you can't really predict the weather. Our wedding , in 1989, was in May, in New Hampshire (even though we lived in California, but the most family lived in NH) and the weather turned out to be terrible. But every part of the wedding weekend was inside, except for getting to and from the church. Thankfully , it only rained when everyone was inside. The reception was at a beautiful hotel, and that is where we spent our first night together. The entire day was amazing. Congratulations Sara !

My friend got married end of May at this beautiful Chateau and there were things that went wrong too Her cake fell because of the humidity (gotta love the Midwest), her hair wasn’t cooperating, etc but it after the fact, it was the most beautiful wedding! Even a month later I still find myself thinking about it so often, my regrets, missing the planning process so dearly, etc. I have struggled quite a bit with post-wedding blues, but overall I’m so grateful the day happened. A really wonderful wedding story. I do think if a bride wants to go for a strapless dress ~ then you better jump around, and do a little dance at the fitting .. lol. Wow. What I just watched was the most beautiful thing I ever saw! Kudos to you for staying calm through all the glitches. The same thing happened to my daughter. For some reason nothing would go right for her event from day one till it was all over. But she kept her poise and most people never knew there had been any problems. I think it was easier for her to recover from the disappointments and be able to see it through her guests eyes. You did a great job and everything looked so, so beautiful and special.

I have been a fan of yours while you had a different job AND made your videos...lots of memories, but always true to yourself and your viewers!
