Aw your wedding videos bring back so many lovely memories, I'm loving the wedding Wednesday series :) Honestly, go with the florist for your own bouquet, definitely more costly but you will not regret it. Also, real flowers will have lovely scent. Then, if you're feeling crafty, you can dry your bouquet and preserve it in resin which looks beautiful and makes for a nice display :)

We had a similar table centre piece (a woodslice with decoration). Me and my husband met through gaming (world of warcraft). So we had a navy blue wooden table number, a vase with some flowers (our flowers had some colours though; pink/orange/ coral like and Gypsophila mixed) and we also put something that we both liked on each woodslice. Every table had different little extra that represented us. So one table had a World of Warcraft theme with some Funko Pops, another table had some 3D printed Pac Mans that someone on Etsy made, another table had some Dutch decor (a wooden tulip, some porcelain Delfs blue painted clogs and a cute dutch themed teaspoon, because I am Dutch), another table had 3 Dragon Egg candles and a Danaerys Funko Pop for Game of Thrones (which we used to like BEFORE that horrible last season, hahaha!) Another table had some Mario themed items. Our flower arrangement on the main table had two bookshelf holders on both sides of the long wooden flower box with a little man from the Portal game going through one end and coming out the other). Maybe you could do like a small photograph of important places, or pictures of you two/three together that mean a lot to you? And have a different one on each table?

Aw Shan I’m loving coming back to your wedding videos. I’m getting married in January next year and these are just so comforting to watch while I’m sorting out what I’ve bought so far🙈 I’m pretty much DIY’ing our entire wedding apart from the flowers which we’re having done by a local florist. But I’m such a stressy person I’m sat wondering why I chose to do it all on my own🤣 but I know it’ll be sooo worth it and something I can always congratulate myself for achieving. I remember looking at your beautiful wedding pictures and thinking I cannot wait to do this! 🤍 love to you all

Loved this! I’d get a couple of quotes from florists because we found they varied so much in prices when I got married xxx

I got a bouquet made by florist and then bunches of gypsophilia (bought in bulk from florist) for center pieces but it was real and so cheap compared to buying false flowers. I wanted to keep on budget as well. We made all our own center pieces and kept flowers really simple but it turned out so cost effective. Gypsophilia and Eucalptus sprigs really cheap to buy in bulk real. Love this video! Xx

Yess I was going to suggest this too! Artificial are so expensive as obviously they last forever but I think for one day you may find it cheaper to get fresh from a flower market or florist and DIY them ☺️ then you don’t have loads of things to get rid off after xxx

If you don’t like either of the paint colours, go to Wickes or something and choose a wall paint colour as the colour range is much bigger and buy sample pots. I think the centrepieces are good, you don’t need anything crazy as your barn venue speaks for itself. Good luck with it all and thanks for sharing, I’m wedding planning too so it’s nice to see what other people are doing.

I would definitely get your bouquet from a florist. They’re going to be on all of your wedding pictures for the rest of your life so I don’t think you’ll regret getting a professional to do your bouquets. I would also look at sourcing some cheap flowers in bulk for tables. Gypsophila and eucalyptus are usually really inexpensive flowers so if that’s the look you’re going for I would always try to do fresh flowers for a wedding! Loving the wedding videos, your meal looked delish! xxxx

A good idea for ambiance without open flame is to put fairly lights in those jars (you can tape and hide the batteries under the lid) or also fairy lights in the jar with the flowers/plants. Lights and plants look amazing together!

We had similar theme and as my husband loves all things gardening we had mini terracotta flower pots with ribbon round them for centre pieces - so cheap and people can still see over them. Your wedding will be lovely 😊

Maybe a circle of Hessian under the wood and then get hessian twine to wrap round the jam jar .. and round your bouquet on top of the florist tape? ☺️

I think that’s perfect for your centrepieces! I went to a friends wedding recently and another one a couple of years ago and I can’t for the life of me remember what colour the flowers were or what they had as centrepieces and I didn’t drink and am usually very observant. So basically don’t stress, no one remembers that stuff anyway, they remember the general vibe of the day as a whole

I had real flowers for my wedding but we only had my bouquet, button hole for the groom and our fathers and 2 arrangements (one for the back of the venue and one for the registry table), we then took those for the top table at the reception. We had rectangular tables for guests so there wasn’t really much room for centre pieces anyway.

I'd love to see some DIY!! Our wedding isn't until August 7th 2024 (our dream venue was fully booked until 2024🙃😳) so I'm enjoying this time to really plan and work on stuff! Your style seems a little similar to mine too so I'm so excited to see what you do!

We got married 3 weeks ago and finding your content is making me relive all the pre wedding memories and it’s great. It might be too late but as a DIY bride I also wanted to say that we went down the dried flower route and oh my god you would not regret it, so very affordable, much better than the quotes we got back from fresh flower florists and my bouquet is now the centre piece on our dining table. The flowers also got delivered the week before our wedding so one less stress and another supplier on the day. Generally couldn’t recommend enough with trying to do a wedding on a budget :) I also have lots of fake eucalyptus and other bits that would fit in with your theme that I’m selling on if any use?

Aww love the wedding video! I definitely agree with the other comments and think going with a florist for the bouquets would be worth it.... or if you wanted a budget option my friend had us all make our bridesmaid bouquets from flowers her farther-in-law had grown. We watched a few youtube videos and they looked really nice in the end and it was good fun!

We had tapas for our wedding meal which was in December 2017! It snowed like hell but the tapas was just incredible - everyone said how different it was 🥰! The food there looked soooo good! 😍

Table centre pieces will look lovely! Maybe just one candle and if it’s a barn, you could deffo have them on all day. Love the olive green! ❤️ can you also tutorial your hair?! 😂 I know you use your revlon and then you curled today and it looks nice and never seen anyone curl like that before! More wedding content!! 😆

I love the centre pieces but I think they could look quite cheap with the tea lights and plastic stems in the vase. I think fairy lights in the jar then put them flowers in… that way it covers the stems and gives a twinkly light in the centre! Xx

Awww wedding planning those were the days. Looking back - I would of spent less on centre pieces, defo something simple or artificial flowers etc. I would personally get a real flower bouquet for yourself (and buttons for hubby, dad, mum etc). I put my flowers on my grandfathers grave stone after my wedding. I would do an order with Aldi and get some cheap Prosecco , wine etc and arrange a corkage deal with venue, we saved a load of cash and people like to have Booz available! We’re not picture people but I always knew I wanted to have money in the budget for a videographer, I rarely look at it but I’m so glad we have it! You can’t put a price on seeing yourselves, your baby, your family in video form on your special day. Shop around someone will do it cheap ish! That’s the major thing I’m glad we have, nothing quite like reliving the day after it goes by in the flash! X
