WOOHOO!! Welcome to the Wonderful World of Tie-Dye... I am glad you found my channel... I love to helps others have fun and success with this art .... I started doing tie-dye in 2000 and at that time, there was not much in the way of help... my ex taught me the basics and then I figured out a bunch on my own and eventually found a bit of help here and there.... BUT, I wanted to change all of that, so when I felt inspired to share my knowledge of Tie-Dye, I started this channel with the intent of making a dozen basis videos to help everyone get started, but I had so much fun, I just keep going 🥳✌🏻💚🙏🌈🌀. i checked out a bunch of tie dye channels lately to get ideas for patterns but i don't ever recall learning jack shit, just how to do the patterns. you always pop up and i appreciate you "talking too much" cause i'm learning the fundamental basics of the art man. you're such a super chill well of infinite knowledge, i appreciate the videos you do. i love this design too cause it's a random attempt that turned out really nicely! I'm thinking if you get a black pink floyd shirt, would it be possible to use this same method to make the rainbow reflection coming out of the triangle like on the cover of the dark side of the moon? i think that would be super tight

You are welcome... I have loved this art from the beginning, but I had trouble finding anyone to help me out... so I wanted to change that... as I learned, I shared... in the beginning, mostly it was at Home Tie-Dye Parties and School Tie-Dye Events (I think doing those for 16 years trained me up to create these videos) ... I love to help others have fun and success with this art as for the Pink Floyd Tee... yes I think you can do that... I would use chalk or a dry erase crayon to draw the area where you want to remove color, fold and tie ti and then you can drip that part in the OWB ... then rinse it well or wash and then you can soak that part in soda ash and add some color... Sounds Awesome... have fun!!

Thank you and yeah it is kind of smelly, but I work in front of an open window and I have an Ionizer that I use as well which helps clear the smell out ... have fun and I wish you success with it

I know some dyers do re use their sinew... I tried years ago and found it to be a pain... gotta rinse it good or you can get some dye transfer onto the next tee you use it on... so I just toss it after I take it off ✌🏻

directly under the videos is where you 'Like' the video or share it, but there is also a 'Save' button... click there and you can add it to your 'Watch Later' list... OR, you can make a new list... Maybe a Tie-Dye list and then save the video(s) there to watch them later ✌🏻

Hey there! I have a question...how do you keep making the same image over and over if you're just experimenting? I tried a technique you had and people liked it in my shop. But I'm not sure if I can do it over the same way with different colors. You have many...how do you keep up with the designs? Love your vlogs.

part of that is to take notes on how something was folded and maybe take some pics as well, or both the folding and how you applied the dyes ... and when I experiment, I usually only work on a couple designs at a time so I can remember what I did... when it comes time to rinse and open the tee, I am careful to open it slowly so I can remember how it was folded and dyed .... another thing to do when doing an experimental fold is try dyeing it a few different ways as that can make a design very cool when you find a fold that you like how it comes out, then play with it for a bit, fold up a few more of them... with practice comes memory of how to do it over again .... there are times where I go back to one of my videos to refresh my memory of how I folded something because sometimes I get a request for a video of a design, I sit down and figure out how to fold and dye it and then I make a video, but since I did not practice it a few times, I did not retain the memory of how it was done, so I refer back to my videos ...
