I love Wednesday 13. Glad to see they got to a point where they could have bigger stage performances. You can see the Cooper and kiss influences. Hell it's why I love all those bands too. Would kill to be apart of an act like these guys.
I've never heard of these guys until watching this video. The coolest thing is how they win the audience over as it goes along. You can see all the people go from standing around to really enjoying the show. The vocalist is the real deal not many people can pull this kind of theactrics off.
Yeah i remember i joined a band who is friends with them back in 2013 and he said his music now is the most fun he has ever had in his life and each show is like a movie
February 21st 2020 I went to Cleveland to see The 69 Eyes, and these guys performed before them. No offense to The 69 Eyes at all, but by the time they took they stage I felt like the concert was over. Wednesday 13 absolutely rocked! They blew me away! I’ve been a fan ever since. It’s the first concert I’m going to after Covid is over!
I have seen Wednesday twice now. And ever since, I have never seen a vocalist say "Put your hands in the air" and every person in the venue puts their hand in the air. If he says jump, the whole crowd jumps. I go to alot of gigs, but never have I seen someone command a crowd like Wednesday does.

At a show in my city, the booker ran off with the money. The other band left, so Wednesday 13 played for over two hours for free. I’ve seen hundreds of shows & it was one of the best shows I’ve seen. These guys are incredible! Mad respect!
As I said in another comment, I respect the guy for the person he is, a good guy but I just don’t like his music! I never liked Murderdolls, the first band he was in!
I met Wednesday in a concrete room called Vinos... with like 150 other people there. He was very kind to me. Fang bang tour. He's come a long way. Transylvania 90210 is untoppable lol. Good memories. It's weird seeing his music at this level. But I'm happy for him
His music was at a higher level back in the original Murderdolls days. Unfortunately that band could never stay together. But there's hope now Joey's been booted from Slipknot.
Wednesday 13 has been in the music industry for years working his fucking ass off and his skin off every bone to get to where he is today. The man and his band deserve major respect for how long they've been keeping this going and how far they've come. It's not easy in anyway to get where they are in the music industry.

I've listened to maybe a dozen interviews from Wednesday, and some with Joey as well. Wednesday had said that his music became much darker in his last album (I'm not sure when that interview aired), than when he was in the Murderdolls. And holy sh*t!!!! Just listening to the first song gives a completely different feel, sound, and look (the band members look much different than they used to). I honestly think this band is misunderstood by people. I was confused about Wednesday, his and the band's intentions until I watched interviews. And now I know that the lyrics are all in fun, to give the audience a good time and a break from every day life. Wednesday is a jokester at heart, and he seems like a really cool guy, very chill in his interviews. If others are confused, and that's why there's so much hate, then check out the interviews of the band. It'll give a clear understanding of where the band is coming from. And to paraphrase Wednesday, if someone can relate to a song like Grave Robbing USA, then there are issues.
This band has gone through, at minimum, 3 full lineup changes. His "original" W13 guitarist in now playing bass for Rob Zombie, Acey, who was also in the Murderdolls, is now the Misfits' second guitarist, he had Jonny Chopps on drums at one point... He's never had a consistent lineup.
@@fuzzondrums4761 no he hasnt not really had a consistent band, though he had some regulars. racci shay being one of them, acey too. and the last few years the line up has been pretty stable, with the exception of drummers. And this band also has more creative influences than members had before. before it was pretty much just wednesday. another reason why i really like this band, it's more cohesive in a sense, they're more a band. i know your comment was a year ago, but i wanted to share my thoughts :)
@@danteaghoulfromspace2996 I think Jack and Roman were in 2010's Murderdolls and are with W13 since then, so pretty consistent I would say. Also it's crazy how intertwined it all is when you look in what bands all the guys, that played with Wednesday at some point, were, Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Dope, Amen, Genitorturers, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Misfits, Static-X and the list probably goes on and on.
@@fmoonek yeah exactly, after 2010 Murderdolls he picked up some members and built around it, and that list of related acts is quite impressive and all good and fun bands in their own right
Isnt it a great thing that no one cares if you don't like Wednesday 13? Ive seen him twice and both times I had a blast! Disparaging metal bands is exactly against the point. Metal encompasses all styles from all walks of life.
I really miss the raw horror punk vibes of FDQFP13, but it's great that Wednesday still ends his set with songs from Transylvania 90210 (and of course the timeless I Love to Say Fuck)!
Great Songs, kickin band. Great Frontman. Drummer kicks balls, Great Performance, I've come back to watch this every year or so. Mildly Pretentious, but it's Metal. Fun.
I saw Wensday 13 last year I think at Rock city in Nottingham they were awesome I loved it and when they are next back in England I will try and be there I really want to go to blood stock it's hard without a car

It was a great set one of the highlights of the weekend for me can't wait for Wednesday 13 to headline the Sophie stage that set would be even better than this one he gets better every time I see him live

I'm very very disappointed on the rude ass remarks on this video. I've commented alot on this and I don't give a shit because Wednesday deserves credit on his music. I can really give him all my credit on the music he's making and it's really wonderful. I've always loved Wednesdays music for a long time and I never loved any other music that long. Wednesday 13 is my idol and he's becoming popular now and no one is realizing it. Everyone is criticizing his music and doesn't give him a chance. So better think twice about criticizing someone. I'm old too lol(52) and Wednesday 13 may not be my favorite band, but they're up there. Especially since the Dixie Dead record, where they really became a straight up metal band. I'd love to see them in front of a large crowd just once. It's airways little bullshit clibs/bars here in NYC.
Cactus Chris. I'm not sure what type of old school you mean but here's a suggestion. Wednesday 13 has a side project called Gunfire 76. It's more of a straight up 80s style sleaze rock band (without the horror theme, makeup etc). My advice, see if you can find it. You won't be disappointed.

I listen to this over and over every day for the last 6 days...it's ENCHANTING... SPELLBINDING... and I'M GOING TO SEE WEDNESDAY Sat. Feb. 15th at The Masquerade in Atlanta Georgia. I'm old btw? and near crippled but I will break bones ROCKIN my friggin brains out!!!!😵 I will definitely be sore for months afterward...music that's good with a front man such as Wednesday will cause older ppl pain trying to keep up...however at the same time...🤔 keeping up and breaking now brittle bones. If it's too LOUD😏😏 one is just too OLD... that's not me yet. I love his make-ups...well? All of their make-ups... especially the lead guitarist. His hair cut is FANTASTIC. I myself have a cut that's bald and I'm a woman. Dani looked so awkward, and it actually made it uncomfortable to watch. When they performed Download '17 they had full Pyrohex and it was so much better. I love W13, and have done for 12/13 years now, but its very obvious they're not a festival band and more suited to smaller venues. They've always been amazing every time I've seen them... bar festivals. Ha.
Love Wednesday 13 have done since murderdolls, I managed to see them when stone sour toured with them and they was amazing back then and still are!!! I Also managed to meet Wednesday a few times and he’s a lovley guy!!
They should have made it look more like a closet he was coming out of as that would have indicated to the audience just how this performance was going to turn out.
not at all , he did not came through , a barely openend it , so slowy and a doll had to close it after .....when you pass through a door , usualy you dont use the knob you PASS THROUGH DAMN iT !!! XD
For me they were the highlight of Bloodstock that year. Gotta admit it was a bit trippy with the mask on the back of his head coz I was already drunk and probably a bit high at the time - good times :)
This set list sucked ass. I've seen him in NYC every tour for the past 5 years and the set lists were far better. Alot of these songs were just slow sludgy crap. It's like he was more worried about putting on a "show" than playing music.

I feel like doorway was kinda lost on a lot of people. I don't know why because there are context clues... Shelly and the other girl I don't care about are dressed as the twins from The Shining, which takes place in a hotel... hallways and hallways full of doorways... I mean, that's how I took it anyway. It's just for fun anyway. A lot of you guys are taking this WAAAAY too seriously. Wed is not that kinda guy. Everything is campy scooby doo skeletor horror fun.
