i genuinely cannot stand the song because it was our opener for our marching show this year, was so confused when i heard it the first time on screen 😭
@Trisha Lennex when it was playing a instrumental of nothing else matters (metallica) it took me so long to realize and I felt so dumb since it's one of my favorite bands
thats how its known otherwise it wouldn't get as many views. If you actually thought about it you would know that it brings even MORE popularity for their own song and both parties benefit from it.
@@abbadox315oh sweet summer child. The Rolling Stones have been around since the 60s and still sell out arenas. I went to one of their concerts this summer (in vienna). They don‘t need anyone to give them views 😂
@@Sethevator tbh I think that percussionists are so underrated Like you have have to get the timing perfectly and you play the marimba with like four.. sticks?
He's double tonguing I think, I play bassoon and the oboe is in the same family as well (we are both double Reed players) and double tonguing is literally so hard and I've been playing for 5 years
@@aspiringfictionwriter1876 Haha, no problem! And after a while every oboist starts to make reeds themselves, it's way more affordable in the long run and reeds are very personal. Every oboist has their own preferred style of reed and embrochure. The oboe itself also has an impact on which reeds are better suited towards it! So when you're taking the oboe very seriously (like he does) it makes sense to start making your own reeds ^^
Omg, you play the oboe amazingly!!! I play the oboe as well so to see oboe content on RU-vid is so cool cause not many play it. Where did you get the notes to the song?
Bro that some talent I had district honor band auditions this past weekend and you got me in the lunchroom practicing notes sounding good can play up high good knows music get in the audition room only plays one octave Bb scale correctly all other arpeggios forgotten just gone wrong notes hit high notes not sounding good and btw I’m play oboe
@@xemraldisaclown6750 oh I was no where close my band director put up the paper and one my friends told me I didn’t make it like I already knew up but still it was nice for him to tell me
@@xemraldisaclown6750 well for band class we had to record our first 8 scales and then chromatic from low concert F to high F and I did good on that cause I recorded it at home and I could take breaks between each scale and redo if I messed up and just edited each video together
@@the_girl_who_got_frozen we had to do it in person but yeah, we had two random scales *from memory* as well as chromatic up and down *from memory* then a prepared piece and sight reading
Cello and oboe transfer so well together. I (as a cello) remember this one time when my class played a piece called Gabriel’s Oboe, but it was played on cello and sounded great
"The Wenesday Addams Cello Theme Song" Me: oh so you mean the theme for Wednesday? *Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones plays on the oboe* Me: ....First it was Bloody Mary by Lady Gaga being called the Wednesday dance song now this...
Bro I keep scrolling through your vids and at my school I always hear the oboes and everybody makes fun of them because they sound like squeaky and annoying. I always thought that’s just how they sound but then I saw your vids and it sounds way better. It’s probably experience but keep it up and have a good day 😊
It's literally just Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones. Just because it's in the show doesn't mean it's a theme for that character, it's a good song tho.
no this actually makes me mad dog this is paint it black by the rolling stones and this is what people are calling it now 😭😭😭 the "wednesday theme", im so done with this generation dog 😅
HOLY SHIT MAN YOU SOUND AMAZING IVE LITERALLY NEVER HEARD AN OBOE LIKE THAT LIKE IF I TRIED PLAYING THAT ON MY OBOE IT WOULD PROBABLY SOUND LIKE A DYING DUCK 😂😂
that was CLEAN! i mean i'm accustomed to hearing this on a cello/violin, never really thought the arrangement would sound so good on wind instruments like this✨ and also you're talented asf😩
As a woodwind player my self ( all main saxophones but mainly alto and bari ) your intonation it's great , especially for how much harder double reeds are
