Wednesday soundtrack from Episode 3 - Wednesday Playing Cello scene Track: Nevermore Academy Orchestra · Antonio Vivaldi - Four Seasons - Winter: I. Allegro Non Molto (Vivaldi)
You really felt the need to repeat the same comment everyone was making months before you? How about a quick scroll before commenting to make sure your comment isn't already redundant?
@@EddieTheHmany of the comments are sourced from when footage was coming through tech. Actually connected to a lot. May be why the comments are repeated. It is connected to industry and govt how they chose to engage for a certain matter.
well considering how there is like a 30 foot fire next to her while she is acting, and pretending to play a whole instrument she doenst play she is doing fine
@@peterzimmerman1114 Yeah I know that, I'm commenting on the fact that one violinist isn't making the sound of a whole orchestra, I mean it still sounds cool regardless.
Well, she did a cram study on the cello for at least two months in order to be able to fake-play it for the series. And, she did a damned good job of it. "Wednesday" has, almost single-handedly, made the cello cool, again, for young folks. And _that_ is quite an achievement. Yes sir.
"'Wednesday' has almost made the cello cool again" what are you talking about bruh cello has always been popular and "cool" if that's how you want to phrase it. You say young folks but you really have no maturity considering you think a single Netflix show made an instrument originating from hundreds of years ago "cool"
If u think that ur twitter timeline (which is probably full of either dsmp or anime) is an accurate representation of how popular an instrument is then u need to maybe realize that you think it’s not popular because you don’t see it because you aren’t recommended it because you don’t look at that kind of stuff, but I see it often and it’s popular in different communities. You’re twitter feed isn’t the only way to measure popularity smh. And sure, Jenna Ortega did a good job mimicking the posture and technique to play cello in the little time she had, but just because she was able to do that doesn’t mean she’s suddenly a goddamn saint to the cello community and revived it. Literally any Netflix show is only going to marginally increase the popularity of cello or any instrument, idc how popular it seems now on your twitter “timeline” (which given you say that makes me think you’re not old enough to understand that there are people out there that you don’t see in your twitter cliques or on twitter at all because it’s a really dumb platform), literally go outside or listen to some music that isn’t your anime osts or whatever, like classical or even some genres of pop before making a statement like that
I’m not denying Wednesday is a good show, it is, but it did not make cello popular again especially because it shows her playing like twice throughout the entire thing. It’s also not like a world changing show like Squid Game and it had a lot of plot holes but it was still a good show, but not really game changing
Before Covid there were a lot of street musicians in the city where I live and I can say that cello was a popular "pick" aside from a guitar or a violin. Interestingly enough, I don't remember many solo cellists - they usually played in groups. Not that it proves anything - just an observation in a random European city.

This is my favourite scene of the whole show, Jenna ortego just killing it with the cello, a statue engulfed in flames and a guy sleeping through it all
Funniest thing is that she’s playing the “Winter, allegro non molto”, which in italian means “Winter, not so happy”. Aside from being a good piece for soundtrack, it fits perfectly.
I love Vivaldi and have listened to it countless times over 50 years, but this performance is the best, and the Winter in the Four Seasons is fantastic.
This scene is really funny to me as someone who is a musician but I mean she tried her best. It's just so distracting when there is a whole orchestra playing behind her even though it's just her playing on the screen.
I wonder who actually played the cello in the scene, it's clear that she was only acting here (although it's WAY better than most actors, she actually got most of the positions correct)
I hate how everyone says "Where did the entire orchestra come from?", it's just common sense that the orchestra part was background music not playing in that scene in real but was being played for us just behind the scene. They merged the two plays together for us to enjoy. 😐 And now criticism is gonna arrive here soon.
lol she is so good!! at school, i play cello and this girl also does and she LITERALLY looked like wednesday! played cello, had braids and like a black shirt and my orchestra teacher took a pic lol
@@v1kyro no, I have been watching the Soccer World Cup. I was born in Argentina so I have given them my spare time... It has been totally worth it! But I will watch Wednesday because the whole idea intrigues me!
She plays so well that the cello changes tuning while she plays! Her fingers don’t even move in the right directions. Let alone her playing an entire orchestra!
the fact that everyones pointing out how theres more than one instrument playing- guys, come on... this is the adams family we are talking about here. Wedesday's ability to summon additional ambience should be the least bit surprising.
What’s surprising is that Jenna Ortega does actually play the cello in Wednesday, despite having no prior experience with the instrument. She began taking cello lessons twice a week, two months before filming for the series began.
