This episode from "Armchair Theatre" (a television drama anthology series of single plays that ran on the ITV from 1956 to 1974) was first broadcast on the 10th November, 1970. Part One was uploaded to my channel yesterday as I have split the two parts of the story to avoid any copyright issues.
After his wife (Katharine Blake) miscarries, a doctor (Gary Watson) hires a private live-in nurse Shirley (Prunella Ransome) to look after her. As their marriage becomes more strained, the relationship between the two women becomes increasingly close.

I would love to see the Armchair Theatre story - The Golden Road, with Katy Manning. One of my favourite actresses who did quite a few naughty & unexpected tv appearances to dispell the goody goody image of Joe Grant. 😅

These are a joy! Just watched the 'Rooms' 'Susan parts one and two'. And have binged on the superb 'Play For Today' and 'Wednesday Plays' Gosh, some of them were terrific. The acting, the writing, the sets......all encompassing and so incredibly brave and thoughtful. Thanks so much for uploading this. really, really appreciated.

Spoiler alert for anyone viewing for the first time... The choice of that Beatles song and its timing combined with the on-screen visuals was perfect.

I enjoyed that, the sheer intensity of the performance more than made up for the lack of Leopards (I don't mind a missing Werewolf but I do expect at least a smattering of Leopards, kindly consider this in future uploads), anyways thanks, Bob (Kenya)
