Hein de Haas is a Dutch sociologist and geographer and is currently Professor of Sociology at the University of Amsterdam and a founding member and director of the International Migration Institute. This week, he spoke at the John Hope Franklin Center’s ‘Wednesdays at the Center’ series with his lecture ‘Rethinking Human Mobility: The Need for a new Migration Paradigm’. The event was co-sponsored by Duke Program on Climate-Related Migration & Duke Office of Global Affairs.
