Weebly dropped the ball on me when the company decided to merge with Square Inc without even informing me. Since the merge, it’s been a complete mess. Apparently, even after signing up to move over as part of Square, you never get to access your profile or account because you are never the authorized owner. Oh really Square, the guy paying you is no longer the owner now? I “LOVED” Weebly but Square is a complete joke!
Agree 100% - Square is a total Mickey Mouse company when it comes to anything for websites. They gutted Weebly .,.. Square tech support is pathetic and useless - no wonder Square has THOUSANDS of BBB complaints. I'm a 12 year Weebly user and can say after trying the Square website editor ... it is a total piece of crap!!!
I've been using Weebly for multiple sites for more than ten years and have been very happy. I'm exploring looking at other options like Wix and Squarespace, and may not make the switch. My sites are for consulting services, and they've had good SEO and are very easy to upgrade. I will likely just continue using Weebly. Thanks for the useful video.
THANKS for this tutorial. I'm new to Weebly, "inheriting" a website that's completed in a certain theme. The problem is how bad it looks in mobile view... there are not settings to adjust for mobile, you just get what you get. I can't find a way to ask this question at Weebly as they don't seem to have live support, so I hope YOU might help. How do I change to a theme that DOES allow mobile editing at Weebly? The many other themes I've previewed say "it's responsive" but their mobile views still don't look good. Is there a marketplace to select or buy Weebly-compatible themes that do allow mobile edits? Any suggestions would be appreciated... I'm clueless!
I've been hitting limits with the mobile appearance, too. Their tech support confirmed I can't even change the text and background colors for mobile, because the theme limits that for mobile. Very frustrating to have a white text on black BG desktop site, and then view it on mobile as white BG.
Been using Weebly on-off for over a decade, regardless to the occasional hate it gets when compared to WP, it's always been super reliable and versatile. Yeah not many apps listed, but adding third-party code will expand possibilities. :) For beginners, the best legit way to publish websites for free.

Square have just increased my yearly weekly cost from £280 to £870 WTF, I only around 80 visitors a month is anyone else had this and how can I get it lowered as there is no way to change the plan in my account or contact them as online form a joke ?
I can't log in via FB anymore. Error keeps popping up! Many people have the same issue and no solution, no response, no human being to talk to! So big NO to Weebly! And yearly cost is a sky rocket!
I called weebly up and they adjusted my plan from £870 to £150 a year but they defo tried to rip me off as I couldnt adjust the plan myself online & they made out I couldnt via an email and I just urge anyone who has same problem to contact them as they are chancers and will amend it 👍🏼
Stay away from Weebly! I have been using it since 2010. It used to be great but over the past few years it has been getting worse and worse. It has lost basic functionality and has had no updates is ages. It has fewer options for themes than it had in 2020. The tipping point for me came when I received an email saying that my pro account subscription would automatically renew on 20 May...except that it didn't, which I only realised a week later. I tried to renew it manually and it wouldn't. I tried to add another payment method in case that was the problem and I couldn't. Whatever I tried I was always taken to a black "checkout page" It was only then that I stared searching around and discovered that Weebly has apparently merged with something called square and they never bothered to inform their customers! Needless to say their customer service is non existent. This is the final straw that is forcing me to move my website. The only reason I hadn't done this before was because I was one of the early users my subscription fees were never increased and I was still paying that same fees as I did in 2010. Weebly is not the place to set up a new website. It has one foot in the grave.
It still gives me the option to renew until 2025 for a starter site even though they sent an email saying it would be discontinued and changed to pro on their new plans on my renewal date which is soon. You think it's worth trying to renew the stater plan 'til 2025 while it still is giving me the option?
Hi. Is there a tool like Adobe Muse that allows me to design my website offline and then upload to my own web space ? I am not looking for a free tool. I have used WIX for the last 2.5 years but due to issues with my emails to Gmail - I decide to returen to my old MUSE made website which is hosted on a 5Gb space I pay for anyway.

Do the math: Hostinger hosts 100 websites @ $36 a YEAR. Weebly charges $8/monthly for EACH website - so it'd cost you $800 PER MONTH to host 100 websites in Weebly. It's not even a comparison!
Really? Hostinger looks like a Wordpress platform which is typically way harder than a Weebly platform. What does @Cybernews think? Do you have a comparison for Hostinger websites to other platforms like Weebly or Wix that aren't a Wordpress style.
