I feel so swept up in the trap of weed/nicotine. I've been addicted for over 10 years, and enough is enough. It's almost like being stuck in purgatory every single day, battling the thoughts of your addiction, and the need to fill the void over and over. You get to a point where you're so worn down, tired, depressed, anxious, and the cycle continues with no true relief. I'm taking back control of my life, because if I don't I fear I'll be stuck in this cycle until the day it kills me.

@@CookWithStephh Hi! I would advise hot baths or showers twice a day, in particular before you go to bed as it will help you relax. Eat foods that will fill you up and make healthy smoothies and drink water to sweat it out. Acknowledge that you're recovering from illness and take it easy and don't be too hard on yourself! The great thing about these habits is that you can do them 2-3 weeks before you decide to quit and you will already be in the routine of doing them! Good Luck!😎😎😎

Smoked weed on an off for 25 years. Now 39 smoked it for 1 year solid. I was numb no emotion puttin of chores smokin in the mornings. 2 weeks ago I had to stop an i did first week was easy then 2nd week has been tough! Mood swings anxiety through the roof. My wife says im Sweating in my sleep. And my dreams are like 4k movies i can remember every detail! Which is scary cos it's obvious weed is shutting your mind off. I'm never going back. Id love to be a friday night stoner but we all know we cant do that cos it's so strong nowadays. I'm 40 next year an i want to start living a fullfilled life from then cos you will never be able to smokin the devils cabbage. So glad i came across this channel to keep me going. Peace out. 30% THC weed with almost no cbd and growth accelerators…. Yeah definitely not the same thing. Of course these people profit from helping people with addiction, it’s not like they’re out there grabbing people from dispensary’s. Who do you think profits more, someone that trays a patient once over a few months, or the dispensary that has someone going there weekly for years. Who really has to gain from this ?

Quitting has to be accompanied by a lifestyle change. If you're not supplementing magnesium, then you are deficient, and you need this in your body for cell function - it's your body's line of defense against stress. If you are deficient, you will literally be stressed for no reason. Get plenty of mag, coupled with L-Theanine, get sunlight at multiple times of the day to get your circadian rhythm back on track, and eat great- bone broths, steaks, and veggies with everything. You want to eat the color of the rainbow- reds, oranges, yellows, greens. Cut out all the grains to get rid of brain fog, take a break from rice and bread and oatmeal for a minute. Give yourself a chance. You are what you eat.

It took me a few times to learn that as well. Sometimes it takes a slip up to remind you that it always ends in the same place. We get into the “pink cloud” phase where we think it’ll be ok to enjoy it here or there. When I’m craving I tell myself that’s an illusion. It took me a few times to learn that. Now I’m a month and a half clean and here and there I have cravings but again, I know so well where it will lead. Even though my life is not 100% yet I know that the rewards are coming the longer I abstain.

I will say that involving a higher power really helps. I connected with the universe and that helped but recently I started going to Celebrate Recovery meetings which are God focused. They teach you to allow God to walk with you and give your battles to him. It’s helped a lot. They are located in every area. I’ve been a month and half clean and these meetings have really helped. The stress kept piling up on the past and that’s why I kept relapsing. When I gave my struggles up to a higher power it helped me to better face them vs running away with weed. You have the power to do this with help and support.

The problem with marijuana is that you don't have to pay the price the next day like you do with alcohol. I can literally trip balls and wake up the next day like nothing happened. I spent the last two or three decades drinking three beers a night. That gave me a comfortable buzz and I knew I would be just fine the next morning . We were told that 2 or 3 beers a day for a man was OK for our health (now we know better). Since I started vaping/edibles, I'm having a hard time figuring out my boundaries and I'm approaching my 5th year of daily usage. I rarely drink anymore because I enjoy the mind fuck that marijuana gives me. I try to keep up on the latest science but there is just so little research, and its mostly related to smoking. We know how bad alcohol is for our bodies and our brains, but little is known about edibles. I watch these videos on addiction, looking for signs that I've gone too far, but so far, all is well. I want to know how many milligrams per day is OK. I'm in great shape, I've been married for 25+ years, our kids are all in college, I make good money and enjoy my job, but something is missing. My brain needs excitement and stimulation, unlike most people.

I know this isn’t an abstinence approach but i started using D8 thc last year and it has been night and day as far as negative effects. Getting clean from D9 thc was a long hard process but with D8 thc i have much more control over my use. It’s a much clearer high and your tolerance goes up and down much faster than with D9 which is a good thing to me because not only is getting through the detox much quicker it’s also *far* easier to get through. If you use D9 cannabis and still want to use thc i highly suggest trying D8. It has changed my relationship with thc from overwhelming negative to an actually healthy manageable tool in my life again.

I do want to quit but I own bongs and such and it's so much money I don't just want to throw away. I also tried to quit and I wait for 6 days and the relapsed by choice. I was going threw shit but the 2nd days was Hella bad but the 3rd day and up I was fine. I also have gastroparesis and so I don't eat food a lot anyways so it's kind of hard to tell if it's weed or gastro problems. I don't know where to go with this but honestly it's time to stop today's my 4th day at my first job and I don't want to jeprodize it.
