Dear Mihle, I'm sorry that I did not see this comment sooner. A master's in social work is a great degree because it gives you so many options for a career. There is medical social work, for example, where you work in hospital settings. Forensic social work is work in the criminal justice system. You can be a therapist or you can be a community organizer. You can also be a policy analyst. There are a lot of options and I encourage you to look up schools of social work in your area. Oftentimes they will list the types of careers there :).
