Enjoy your new sofa. Its hard when you budget as you do have to face mental and emotional battles but every days a fresh start 💜

Yep. We have all been there! And the negative emotions after are natural. I always felt a failure but i think just stay focused on what you have saved and is the the way forward. Thanks for sharing the video

Thank you for watching and commenting , i appreciate your words and yes that is very true , it feels abit like 3 steps forward 2 back but iv realised how far i have come and i am in a better position than i was before cash stuffing thats for sure , so i will take that and carry on , thank you for the encouragement ☺️💕💕

I think the splurge wallet would be a good idea too. The sofa sounded a bargain and at least you’re aware of your own shortcomings so to speak. It’s done now enjoy it 😊Life happens.

Don't beat yourself up about the sofa, i used to buy a load of crap but since budgeting I've reigned it in and now ive totally gone the other way and don't buy anything and when i do i feel guilty. So i gave myself a good talking to. Your sofa was a bargain so just enjoy it ❤ You're so indecisive it cracks me up, yes i will... no i won't... yes i will 😂😂 thanks for the laughs Mr. Bean 😂😂❤

Ha ha the decisions decisions 🙈🙈🙈 too worried i will get it wrong and then regret it 😂 , once that money goes in , i have realised i do not like taking it out again , its so weird 😂😂😂. Yes you are absolutely right and i was the same , spending was my entertainment and hobby. I am loving my new suite , and if it wasnt for cash stuffing and paying down debt so much i would have never have been able to get it anyway , so thats what i need to remember. @@cherryblossombudget Yes I know exactly what you mean by not wanting to take it out again, isn't it strange 🙃 My cooker just gave up and I appreciate the cash stuffing more than ever because I was able to get a new one straight away, I must admit it hurt a bit using the money, but that's what it's for after all so I'm ok with that now. I love your channel because you're funny as well as serious 🤣 Mr. Bean 🤣🤣🤣

It happens sometimes, I went shopping whilst having a bad episode with my mental health and ended up spending £300 on gardening things, £100 on clothing & £70 on a game. All on the credit card. I should have put a stop to myself but then I was annoyed that I’d undone all my hard work, over the past year and a bit, so of course then I fell back into old habits and some how spent £250 on stuff idk even what. So gonna be paying it back out of my weekly spending money a little bit at a time. I’d been so good and not impulsively shopped in months, and one little episode undid months of progress. So idk what to say other than, we will get back on track and things will improve. I’m now going to safeguard myself, by having an envelope that I’ll just put a little leftover in every so often so that if this happens again I have something to cover it. Because I don’t wanna rack debt up again after doing so well. ❤ Sympathetic and understanding vibes your way 😊 hope this/next week is better for you overall xx

It is really hard isnt it but you are right , dont be too hard on yourself , it happens , i hope you have read the comments on this video because it isnt just us. You have still made amazing progress and we are learning and trying to get things right. I can only speak for myself here but my impulse spending “stints” are far less than they used to be thats for sure , so i am sending love , compassion and understanding your way too - thank you xx 💕💕💕

Its normal to go on a splurge 😂 you wouldnt be human if u didnt,but aslong as u carry on budgeting youll be fine,maybe get a spurge wallet and at a couple of quid in it now and then and when that feeling comes again your prepared for it.

I think you would have been daft if you hadn’t bought the sofa!! Sounds like a right bargain and you have saved money in the long run. My last sofa I hacked away with a hand saw to get it out of the house 😂😂. Don’t beat yourself up. Last year I took £500 out of my emergency fund and purchased an over locker and new sewing machine that are still sat in the box unopened and unused 🤣🤣. At least your purchase is being used. Shizz happens and I think you did the right thing 💚💜xx

😂😂😂😂 we are so similar Michelle , its weird ha ha , thank you for your support as always 🥰 , i moved my sewing machine and overlocker off that desk to make room for my cash stuffing stuff 😂😂 , it sounds like a real emergency though , because if either of your machines ever breaks , you need that replacement asap!!!! I know , i have a spare machine in the bottom of my wardrobe 😂😂😂 - i am going to sit on my sofa and think about what iv done 😂🙈 , scary stuff ! By the way … you should try an electric saw , amazing 😂😂 i felt the same when i got an electric screwdriver ( no more blisters!! ) 😂😂Xx ☺️💕💕

It was an absolute bargain to be fair 😂😂😂 thank you ☺️ yes i could but my adult kids wont like it, i asked for a garden gate once and they refused 😂 , it was within budget , they just dont like the idea and want me to choose something for myself as apposed to something for the house or tools hence why i thought i may just buy it myself. They refused racking for my shed and also a circular saw previously, although that may have been to protect my fingers 😂😂 we will see , i have time yet to work on the kids. I could ask for money or vouchers as a way around but they are not daft 😂🥰 have a lovely rest of your week xx ☺️💕💕

Not long started myself.. maybe its a feeling of feeling restricted after being so focused and rigid with money maybe? Abit like dieting! Just feel like going off the rails abit after bieng so good for so long? Do you think maybe a wallet for random/indulgant spend that you can dip into when u feel u need it would work?

I think you are definitely right there , i even compared it to dieting in my head. I think i had the piece of cake and then decided to eat the whole cake because id had the piece 😂😂, and yes , for the last few weeks i had to cut down on spending money. The challenge i do with that money was generous at first so it was fine, the last 2 weeks i was left with a fiver , and that 2nd week is when i crumbled. It is a risk and thats why its important to give yourself something every week for whatever you want , they say “pay yourself first” dont they. Mind you , it wouldn’t have covered a sofa anyway 😂😂😂😂 . I do have a “me” envelope and a “cocktails” envelope and a “f*** it “ challenge , so maybe i should make better use of those. I have also fallen into the habit of not liking to take money out of the envelopes , which is rediculous. Oh well , its all a learning curve isnt it. I wish you the very best of luck with it, i am sure you will smash it! It really does change your life ( well it can , if there is no cake 😂) 🙊thank you for your thoughtful comment ☺️💕💕

Don’t be so hard on yourself , it sounds like a bargain and you haven’t had a new one in 20 years and like you say at least the ex hasn’t sat his arse on this one 😂 I’m all about the positives . As long as the impulse buys don’t become a habit , you’ll be fine ❤xx
