We have made this series to share some of the details behind our conversions which will hopefully be useful for self builders. Each week we will post a video of the progress of our current build including the methods, appliances used and the order we are doing things.
We do have a team of 4 so you could expect everything to take a little longer if you are working alone!
This conversion is of a Citroen Relay L3H2 and it will be transformed into our Milo dinette model layout.
This video of week 5 goes through the first stages of the Truma Combi boiler installation, water plumbing and pipework, door cads and how we make the cupboard fronts.
TIMESTAMPS
0:00 Intro
0:52 Truma initial installation
2:41 Water plumbing and pipework
9:48 Door cads
10:37 Cupboard door fronts
If you want to follow the progress live, follow our Instagram stories here / vanlifeconv. .
See more information about the spec of this model www.vanlifeconversions.co.uk/...
Do let us know if there are any areas you particularly want us to focus on filming in the comments below.
This video is not intended as advice or recommendations. Please seek professional opinion for any aspects of your conversion you are not comfortable with.

One of the best series on RU-vid, full of great tips with top class craftsmanship. Been following this series and watched just about every video from vanlife conversions, given me loads of ideas for my own van conversion that I am currently doing👍

We have now bought our MWB Crafter, love to drop it off with guys and roll up to a finished van but not enough $$$ So back again asking another question. What make size or link to the spring loaded hinges would be much appreciate. Is there a section fitting them that I have missed. The build series is a gem for folk who are doing our best to get your finish. Many Thanks.

Thank you for this very informative video! 🙌🏻 A coupla questions, if I may? Would you please tell me what is the shower paneling you’re using? It doesn’t look to be actual métro ceramic tiles, which I think would be heavy and time consuming - yet still polished and professional. It’s just panels you cut to size and caulk? A specific brand you recommend? 🤔🛀 And about the Truma... I love that it has 4 heat outlets, and can take care of both heat and hot water. But can it handle 2 different systems? I mean, I plan to have 2 separate water tanks, a smaller one for the recirculating shower system, and the other one for the kitchen sink. Looking forward to the finished product, as always! 🤗😍🚐 🇨🇦 Thank you

Yes the shower panels are from Reco Surfaces and are plastic. The two water sources would probably have to mix as there is only one boiler cavity/inlet in each Truma so may not work having two separate systems if you want hot water in both from one Truma. It is probably best to speak to them or a supplier to see what they recommend

Hy. Can you tell me please if you also used PTFE tape on the joint between the mixerbar fixing plate and the john guest plastic push fit? Many thanks

@@vanlifeconversions are they oversized sheets? My sliding door (boxer) seems too wide to do this with one sheet!

@@vanlifeconversions Can you tell me please what is the size of the sliding door card above the window? Same problem like Mr_Beagle, door card is 1280mm and sheet is 1220mm
