Thanks Mayor for great content! I personally do not like trimming or shaving my neck but it’s so thick, grows fast & it’s inevitable. I end up breaking out with a rash, so I try minimize in the neck area. I loved the longer beard for those reasons. It’s certainly great to see & share so many beard styles! 👍🏻👍🏻😎

Not sure when I'm gonna start trimming. Think I may go for a shorter style but for now I may just let it grow and decide from there. Done a great job with this series!

I'm on a yeard journey right now(on month 3 currently), but I've had to shave off and start over 2 or 3 different times before this last time because I messed up lining my neckline in the beginning. You know the gig: it's not even ill just take more off on this side, wait now this side is too high ill fix it right here, etc. Man, it was SO frustrating.This last time I said screw that and just went to a barber and had him do it. Happy I did because he got it perfect.

Man this part always trips me up. My hearing grows super low down my neck and I always end up trimming it at the beginning to not look like a neck beard and then always regret it later when my beard is longer and I have to wait for the undergrowth to catch up.

Those supporting hairs from the neck are so important for density later on. The best rule is if you can see hair on the neck while looking straight on, you can trim that. As the beard gets longer, lower that neckline.

The neckline trim is very risky. So many beards get wrecked by going too high. I think it is best to avoid trimming at all at this early stage.

All comes down to your goal and comfort level. If someone cannot take the neckline, they will end up shaving. So risk is all over!

Your beard is growing back really quickly and nicely. I use conditioner every other day too and have found that rotation to be really effective. I have found that the Aberlite Pro is really good for taming my mustache and the sides of my beard and use the blow dryer on the main body of my beard.

Hey Dan so I just started growing my beard, I am at about 5 weeks almost and the itch is just always kind of there. I have used multiple brands, including beard octane. It is still a little longer than scruff. My current routine is LCW wash, Beard oil, then beard butter but it still just feels kind of itchy later on. What do you recommend? I am trying out their CBD line and I am thinking should i add the balm 20 or so minutes after the butter for the most nutrition?

It likely isn't the products. I would recommend increasing your water intake, dial in your vitamins (especially collagen), and overall just try to be as healthy as possible.

I thought the teeth of the Guard didn't determine the length of the hair? Or maybe that's just for the larger ones? I remember one time I cut my beard with a number four guard cuz I was looking at the teeth.

It's a combo of the teeth length and how thick the back of the guard is, when you use them properly
