O Cedar is my favorite mop. I agree about the mop vac 😬, I actually still sweep the floors because I feel like vacuums don't get all the dirt up. The cedar mop takes a lot of time to get the water ready (I always use hot water), so when I need to mop really quickly I use the Maker's Mop by Melissa Maker from clean my space.
lol at Ben’s mop & the old shirts 😅 I use the Bissell PowerFresh Deluxe Steam Mop. It’s really easy to use quickly to mop the floors with no chemicals for ~ $100. I am looking for a better one when I can fit it in the budget as I feel that this Bissell is good for a surface clean and I am looking for something that can handle the grooves of our cheap rental vinyl flooring … or I need to mop more frequently 🙃 By the way, Happy early Mother’s Day!
Have you tried the Live G Free bread from Aldi? It’s egg free also and normal sized. I mean, it’s not like real bread but actually isn’t too bad when it’s toasted. I use an O Cedar mop - I think it does a pretty good job but it’s always kind of a pain to get it out, get everything ready, etc.
I haven’t! I have an Aldi very close to me but they’re always out of stuff which is why I don’t shop there regularly. I’ll have to see if they have it!!
Me and my husband are also wanting a 2nd child but as we plan I am thinking about childcare and expenses and dont know if right now is the time for a 2nd baby. We do get family help but would hate (also feel guilty) to expect/ask for more ‘free’ help from our family and add a 2nd child on top of our jobs and another child. We are thinking about compensating (or gift giving) our mother in law at least a small portion for her time since her help is ABSOLUTELY needed. What are some plans and options you have in place for 2nd baby in regards to help as a working mom? I am struggling with that currently and I cant seem to piece things together so at the moment we are happy with 1 till our financials are better or till baby can at least go to school 😭😕
That totally makes sense! It’s so hard financially to figure things out especially with childcare. I’m really fortunate that I currently do freelance for my clients so I can kind of choose how much / how often I work. If we move back to Raleigh, I probably will take less hours and only work when Ben is off work since we wouldn’t have help. It’s cheaper (usually) to live there than where we live now so that would probably be doable. If we stay here, I’ll have to work more because it’s more expensive so we’ll have to continue to depend on his family for help. It’s a lot to think through!! 🫠
