I think it’s okay to accept a blessing and not keep it going. It’s an act of kindness, not a transaction. Sometimes the sweetest thing to do is say thank you :)
It is NOT normal to have condensation on your windows. I live in Chicago so I know about temperature differences. I agree with another poster to get a dehumidifier. It is a shame that your maintenance people think that is ok.
I totally agree with the consumption of media. I try to alternate my days between consuming media content like RU-vid, Instagram, or podcasts/music, and consuming print materials like reading fiction or self help books. It’s a difficult boundary to set because sometimes consuming so much print or media material makes me feel full and satisfied and more well rounded, and other times it makes me anxious and overwhelmed. I love love love love that you are trying to make conscious choices for yourself and checking into your thoughts and feelings. Seeing someone else do this makes me feel like I can do it too and like my struggles with those boundaries are normal
I had a huge issue with condensation on my apartment windows that ended up turning into mold even though I wiped them every day, too! 😫 I got a dehumidifier and it solved the issue instantly and I never have condensation on my windows anymore!
I used to work at Starbucks! We had a day where 13 cars kept the chain going! We were cracking up, especially when the last car was like “thank you! That’s sweet!” And drove off haha it didn’t really bother us as workers, it was just slightly confusing being on top of the current order always. Me personally, I usually accept it and move on, but some days, I go knowing I’m going to pay for the person behind me and do no matter the cost. But I think it’s 100% fine to accept the blessing the car in front of you gave you and enjoy the rest of your day. They wanted to bless YOU and did. You were just the lucky one behind them! ☺️
I relate to the coffee dilemma! The first time it happened to me it was about 6:30am on a Friday and the car in front of me paid for my coffee and I was so surprised and happy that I totally forgot to keep the train going and to this day I still feel bad about it haha
Hi Michelle! Agree with the TikTok you shared about Starbucks, I would suggest leaving a generous tip for the baristas since everyone in line at Starbucks can afford what they are buying. Just my two cents!
I think it’s a great idea to tip the barista when someone pays for your coffee. As someone who worked at Starbucks for a bit, I know that’s it’s often a tough job and people treat you pretty poorly sometimes. So paying it forward to the barista can be a great option!
Loved this longer vlog! It made my night. Thank you so much for talking about overconsumption of media - I honestly really didn’t realize it until you mentioned it! I need to work on it too, I just love listening to music and podcasts, especially when commuting, and when I get home I keep it on as just a habit. I’m going to work on it though! Also, thank you for sharing those recipes, I need to make that carne asada one in my crock pot!
Perfect way to start my Tuesday! I spend so much time looking at houses on Zillow, so I love seeing the homes you tour. The market is crazy here in Washington, making it really hard to find a good place that’s not crazy expensive. P.S. I loved yesterday’s podcast episode 💛
Hey Michelle! Something you can do at Starbucks when someone pays for your order is apply the cost of your order to the next vehicle (so $5 towards the $20 order). That way you're still paying it forward, but doesn't break the bank!
love the long vlogs!! and yes i so agree with the overconsumption of social media and just our phones, in general, we weren't meant to hear every single news thing that is going on around the world...it's a lot for our brains and minds to take in. And those plants look beautiful
I say keep the blessing going but not necessarily in that exact moment! Someone showed you a moment of kindness, and you can then go on and show someone else something. It doesn't have to be paying for the person behind you, but it could be something as simple as holding the door for someone later on or asking a cashier how their day is going! :)
Hi Michelle! Love your vlogs 🥰 I’ve lived with mold illness and have learned a lot about mold so I thought I’d share in case it’s helpful in avoiding health issues for you. Mildew is actually mold but doesn’t necessarily mean you have a moldy apartment but sounds like you do have a moisture issue which can cause mold to grow. I would suggest getting a dehumidifier for your apartment and wiping the mold off the windows with vinegar. Hope that’s helpful but definitely keep an eye out for other issues.
lovely video, as always! Yeah, the weather is so random. One day it feels like spring and then the next day it's a full-blown winter's day! This might sound bizarre, but I had a feeling that you were a believer because of your positive and joyful spirit.
I totally relate to what you are talking about with the constant need to have something going in your ears ! last year for lent I gave up podcasts & while it was honestly hard , it was a game changer for me !!
Michelle your videos really are just a joy to watch 🥰 it makes me feel so relaxed yet motivated! It’s just what I needed - I’m in the process of moving house 😅
Highly recommend getting a dehumidifier for your window issues! In the UK our homes are built to keep heat in so that happens in most places I have lived and I wish I had gotten a dehumidifier years ago! Helps with drying laundry too if you leave anything hanging out to dry :) hope this helps x
I just encountered your page & I absolutely love your blogs!! I feel like I have never found anyone from the DFW area, so this one was special! I’m from FW, so to see how close your are is so cool! Love love love your channel!
I just stumbled upon your channel and absolutely love your content!! My dog is also named cash and I just got married so I feel like we have so much in common! New favorite RU-vid channel! ❤️
I really get excited when you post new YT video. I'm just loving your vlogs, they are so therapeutic! I also am interested to see a week or day of your workout vlog, would love that if you don't mind sharing
Hi there! I just ran into your videos the other week and I love your content! Even listened to your podcast on my way to work and love that too! Hope you have a good rest of your week! 😊
Re condensation - you probably either need better ventilation in your home, or you could get a dehumidifier if you aren't able to open windows, usually solves the problem! I totally feel you about the anxiety around how virtual our world is becoming - being addicted to consuming media and having to be doing something or listening to something all the time. As I work in marketing and social media as well it can take over my life sometimes. I think it's so important to consciously create time for more natural and organic ways to spend our time - walks outside listening to natural sounds, spending time with family or friends, eating food without watching the TV, watching the sun rise, things like that! Making time for these things honestly keep me so much more balanced! ❤ Love your videos Michelle! Hope you're having a great day xxx
A suggestion for the headphones would be to get one with a shorter battery life, Bluetooth headphones are truly addicting but mine only has 3-4 hours of plzy time, which made it kind of feel inferior but I know I've got another way to look at it 👍
Yeyyyy! So excited for a new video from one of my favourite RU-vidrs! 🤍 Love being a part of your everyday life! Sending you my love and appreciation! 🤗
Hello Michelle I'm very confused in this about my study but i show my RU-vid for notifications off your video and suddenly i feel happy because your video always inspiring me a lots thanks and stay safe and be happy dear 😍😘😍😘😍😘😍😘😍😘😍
I was thinking about why I'm not addicted to wearing my Bluetooth earbuds all day and I think its because I use an adjustment that hurts my ear after a while so I have to take them out for a break, maybe that could help you
I totally get what you’re saying about paying it forward at Starbucks!! It’s almost like I feel guilty if I don’t keep the chain going, but like you said, I didn’t plan on spending that much. And I would rather be generous out of my heart, not out of guilt just because others are doing it, you know? Such a struggle!! Haha
I really loved this vlog Michelle! When you were talking about headphones, I wanted to give a suggestion! Maybe get some that you have to turn on? I have beats and I have to actively turn them on for them to sync to Bluetooth. They might not be right for you, but could be helpful :)
