What's your job? I work as a Risk Analyst in Insurance Consulting, and am studying to become a qualified actuary.
What did you do at university? I studied Physical Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, and specialised in Astrophysics.

Great to see you uploading again Paige :) I just wanted to thank you because your uni videos, though they are a few years old now, really helped me through my first few weeks of my Masters. I struggled with loneliness because I didn't make any friends and was living in a new area. Your videos gave me a bit of nostalgia for when I started as an undergrad years ago but also comfort, a bit of distraction from how bad I was feeling. luckily feel loads better now! Hope you're enjoying your life as a consultant.

Don’t know when’s the last time I related to someone this much 😅 I‘m a consultant too and pretty self-conscious, so the good old impostor’s syndrome is very familiar to me. That being said, I found that others tend to be way more chill than we think, so…don’t overthink what you’re doing, from what you’re telling us I think you’re doing great!

Just a tip for sleeping on the train: set an alarm on your phone (at about 5 or 10 minutes before your time of arrival), and put your headphones on. No more worries :-)

Great to hear from you. You give me an idea what it would be like to have a grandaughter. It appears that being an Actuary is going to be a good fit for you. You mix well with others. Likewise, being an Actuary keeps you learning new things every day. That will keep you brain active and sharp. Astronomy would have been too academic and too socially isolating for someone with your personality, social skills and social needs ! A retired Lawyer commenting from the State of Mississippi, USA ..... 5000 miles away from you

Sounds like a great idea! I don’t think I’ll bother with my new bike (it was very cheap 😅) but if I ever get a more expensive bike GPS tracking seems sensible.

Hi lovely video! Nice to get a little idea what you have been up to. I just started the project for my bachelorthesis. And am going to switch to (antoher) engineering part time job next month. Really trying to figure out if i wanna do my masters or start working fulltime. And if i want to focus on the field of medicine technology or keep it more general.

well done about the phone thing. when i went back to uni age 48...i was shocked how rude some the 20 yr sold were. they would get on their phone at social events within 2 mins of sitting down, and not bother to communicate with anyone around them. complete lack of etiquette/ social ability. /rant off

Yeah it lasted 6 months 🥲 it was second hand and most people would probably have viewed it as a “crap old one” but for some reason the thief still wanted it!

I am working full time at night 12 hour shifts and going to school during the day part time for an engineering degree. I will probably die in the fall when I get off work at 7 am and have class at 9 am and I am taking 9 hours. A physics class with a lab and calculus 2.
