The ongoing search for an elusive stagecoach stop along the New Mexico Backcountry Discovery Route (Section 6). Haven't found it yet, but it sure is fun trying!!

Very cool, the road and landscape are amazing. Not sure I would want to ride those roads solo. For me, I would want to go with a few riders. It sure does make me want to hit the trails.

It would be smarter to ride with at least one other person, but I have a fancy Garmin with the inReach option, so I can call for help if I need it. And it's pretty peaceful riding by myself without having to worry about someone else's schedule. At the 2:35 minute mark though, it got a bit hairy, and could have been bad if I didn't push through it like I did. I'm finding that I'm handling those kinds of situations a lot more instinctively as I get more experience.....so that didn't bother me as much as it once would have. I should have stood up right away though, so there's still work to be done 😆 I do want to ride some of the BDRs in this area, and I have some friends who do as well, so that will be a lot of fun come the Fall when it cools down some.
