Great video. Just enough color to make it original. Really enjoy your narration style.

Amazing job filming and catching the light in the lava tube. i still have to go back in there, we chickened out and never went past the first cave area. With the sand and our 2wd we walked from that cinder cone you see way back there... The trick to "singing" dunes is it has to be really dry. Desert is too damp this time of year, tiny amount of water will prevent "singing". Eureka will do it as well.. once in awhile a big pile falls and does it naturally but if it is really dry you can sit down and kick a big pile with your feet, as it slides it "sings", like when you all were sliding down on your butts, that's the way to make them sing... but it has to be calm and super dry. Of Course YOU would find a penny haha.. sand blowing off is Amazing, never seen that before! this is awesome, i got to get back on those dunes soon.. Hole in the Wall is one of the best, so nice. man you guys eat good out there... so nice to feel like i am there again // ive done that road in summer on the bike.. it gets HOT.. never been the the Crater this is really cool, nice catch on the flowers too. The sun rarely cooperates in winter but you manages to get some great shots, super sharp video/ definitely want to go check out that crater thanks for filming it. This is a killer video

Thanks for the tips on the singing dunes. Maybe we have to make a stop there this summer to try it out! If Monica goes we eat really good!

I drove the length of Kelbaker Rd last week. I didn't have a lot of time but I watched the sunset with the cinder cones. The return trip is high on my bucket list. Thanks for the informative and interesting vid.

Bro, your like me, Cramas much as you can in during a short period of time! You guys saw a good amount of great places in just one weekend!!!Awesome adventure! I'm gonna need to take Jake and Danielle out there sometime. Passed that area many times and never knew those sites were out there. Campground looked pretty full for this time of year. During the week there is probably less people out.

Beautiful place, love that sunlight coming through that hole. Is it hard to reserve in that campground?
@potatothorn
@potatothorn 7 лет назад
i spend so much time there im gonna go ahead and reply to this one... no reservations in Mojave Preserve. Hardly ever anyone there, maybe half full in winter sometimes.... there is another campground ( a little harder to get to, bumpy dirt road) and well... i dont want to say too much i should make you look it up but ill say free camping options are near limitless in the Preserve....example one (free but no toilet) campground is not on any map and when i asked the rangers they said " we prefer people discover it on their own"... this place is awesome, get out there!

is a large size RV drivable in the dirt road to lava tube?
@HuckOutdoors
@HuckOutdoors 3 года назад
You could drive in a little ways, but if you dont have good tires, the rocks can tear them up. There was some loose sand as well.

Very nice! You have convinced me to go. So I assume that dogs can be on the trails if they are leashed. When might it be too hot to attempt? I'm up here in the Bay Area. Thanks for motivating me.

Hey Gary, Thanks for watching. In the preserve they can pretty much go anywhere but inside the museum. I would say in mid-may it gets too hot out here. Soon snakes will be coming out too.
