My biggest beef with this implication, aside from the obvious one, is... _How_ do you power space lasers? Or cool the emitters without water? Lasers need a lot of hardware and a lot of power to work. I know, I worked with them, and while they weren't the kind that's powerful enough to start fires I know what a high powered laser needs in order to work. The investment to put all that machinery up there would be absurdly large for something like setting fires, which you could do with some matches...

It's like you're letting Marge be hurt twice. First, Marge has to have the extremely unpleasant experience of being a woman every single day in today's patriarchal and sexist society.
