Weekends at Tech School 

Anyone watching this should know that each tech school is different. I just graduated security forces tech school on 14 March and it was 4 months in phase one for everyone. No going off base, no civilian clothes, no fast food on weekdays, Formation, details, and GI party(cleaning) every single night. We were smoked BMT style regularly, couldn’t have our phone during the day, and couldn’t have personal vehicles. It was basically BMT 2.0. However, not all tech schools are like this, and Security forces tech school has gotten worse over time. No matter what tech school you go to, no matter how bad or good, it will end and that’s all that matters!

How quickly their marriage ended after they got back together

While I was at Keesler Air Force Base, my fellow airmen and I waited a month before tech school, and we were on AFI (Awaiting Further Instruction) until the start of tech school. While on AFI status, we airmen were available for details and such. The base warehouse always needed warm bodies, but me and another airman got lucky. Squadron laundromat duty! And our hours were at night. And we in the 3392nd Student Squadron were off on weekends, we just had to be back in the dorm by Sunday night 2100 hours, after which the dorm was locked. Didn’t have to worry about the Student Training Advisors breathing down our necks on the weekends. The base chaplain ran a coffeehouse-type facility on Friday and Saturday nights, with free movies, popcorn and soft drinks, and I would go there once in a while. Where the coffeehouse was located was in the Triangle, which was where the students including yours truly lived. And among the movies I saw were FANTASTIC VOYAGE and DUEL. Also in the Triangle was a credit union, post office, shoppette, movie theater, and an Airman’s Club (I never went there). On the weekends I could be found at the Edgewater Mall in beautiful downtown Biloxi, Mississippi. One of the movies I saw at the mall was THE CONCORDE: AIRPORT ‘79, a corny flick if ever there was one. I also saw ALIEN while at Keesler, and if you and Kyle haven’t seen this 1979 thriller the both of you are in for a treat. Get ready for some scares. That’s been my recollection.

I been watching your/these videos for a while. I’m leaving for BMT in a month or so, and I just was the Air Force BMT Prep Guide. At the end of it I was like YOOO I know that girl I watch her on RU-vid!!! Glad y’all got together and been together for a long as you have. If I have family within driving distance (2.5 hrs), how often do they approve people to be able to go for an entire weekend? I’d love to be able to go home and see my family on weekends.

What time are you released on Fridays and what time are you required to return?

Can someone answer this question for me if you do security forces can you transition out to a different job completely later on that’s not SF?

Do they have a good sized gym you can workout at during tech school on base?
