Join me as I set up a single page spread in my creative journal. (Oh my goodness - not a Dutch door spread this time!) I create some waterfall flaps on the right hand side using a die cut template and my Sizzix machine. All the scrapbook paper and stickers are from Planything.

Creative memories has an removable adhesive that would work wonders vs. the glue pen. You put a piece of paper under where you're gluing and where you don't want it, just rub it off. Definitely a game changer and time saver.

Great video. I love the die cuts. It seems like a lot of people are doing Dutch doors now, but the die cuts are very unique and I love learning something new. You always bring the best ideas.

I enjoy seeing all of your creativity in these journal spreads! I absolutely love this nautical themed spread with the flaps. I never realized the potential of die-cuts/ machines (aka not a card maker lol) and now I'm interested. Dutch doors/flaps/pockets/whatever else you can do to make a creative spread is worth watching! Love this, I want to add more cute flaps or pockets to my creative journal, it is not as fast, but every now and again, it brings excitement to a completed journal…..in my opinion. So yes, both are great.

In the paper crafting world we call these flaps waterfalls. For the closure you can get thin magnets. I think it will be challenging for writing on pages following the waterfall.

What a great way to do a voice over, we get to see your cute face at the same time! I love how the flaps turned out, but those are definitely over my craftiness level 😅 Maybe I need to do a few practice flaps before sticking them into journals and planners 😄

Love this set up. So would like to see these and the Dutch doors. Was thinking if you cut out line paper and put on the back of flaps you could write more so you could get 5 days including the page the flaps were on and the opposite page. Also if you wanted to get more days could add couple more flaps.

I have a question about the book/journal. What do you suggest when the book starts to get really thick and bows? Should I cut out unused pages to get it to lay flat? Or flatter? I'm already using a strap to keep it closed and I'm maybe 1/3 of the way thru the book..

I would say to try and add the occasional page without too much add on like flaps or pockets and switch up the types of Dutch doors (horizontal vs vertical). Otherwise there’s not much you can do. It doesn’t bother me thought because I LOVE a thick journal. 😅❤️

I love this and will be doing it. Also ur very beautiful but the voice over without the mini-video would be better, in my opinion. Its distracting and covers some of the view of what ur doing. Ur soothing voice is enough.
