We open and take a close look at a broad selection of 1/64 scale diecast cars from brands including: Greenlight, Majorette, Inno64, Para64, Schuco, Racing Champions, Pop Race, Master, Peako, Kyosho
love your videos! i really appreciate seeing all the different brands you collect, never knew what to get when it came to some of the other stuff out there on the market!
If it looks like a Corvette, and feels like a Corvette, it’s probably a Corvette. 🤣 Peako MR2 is extremely appealing to me. Thank you for the heads up on that one.
Cool Mako Shark....I sent a link of one for sale to a buddy of mine who, him and his twin brother, have owned several Baldwin Motion Corvettes and the brother owned at one point, this exact car many years ago. And my friend had the coupe version before he sold it to a museum!
Had obviously never heard of this car before and learning about unknown models like this is always fascinating. So your friend had the real car? Weren't there only 2 ever made?
Love the MR2, not too many renderings in 1:64 of these. Love the Mako Shark, it's the concept car that led to the C2, AutoArt made it in several scales. I have the prior Chevrolet Lacetti Norev casting in the same livery, cool to see the newer generation car. Great lineup 👍
Yeah, I don't mind them either in reality. I think I've been a little down on them lately because I had been buying Auto World cases to make sure I got the models I really wanted and ended up with too many boring recolors of models I'm only lukewarm to.
Really nice to see that Peako, almost bought it a few times, but maybe I'll need to pull the trigger. I have one of their Trucks on pre-order, interested to see how it turns out
I have ordered MR2 (white) month ago. Still havent arrived, and its really rare casting, and those headlight look awesome. I paid my 34usd with free shipping.
Great video. I got the two Johnny Lightning Tasca Ford Thunderbolts and had exactly the same issue as you, they look great but don't roll at all and the stance is a bit off. Really disappointing 😞.
Comparing to the Racing Champions version I think the problem is JL tried to cram too thick tires on the front. It's supposed to be a drag car and the RC version has really thin front wheels. JL retooled the base to have a little more room in the front but not enough for the size tires they used. Definitely disappointing as they're a fantastic release otherwise.
The Peako apollo ie is a great model (you will be shocked by it’s details when you see it in person however the qc is not so great so you might get a defected model
I have a love/hate relationship with Land Rover 110s. They're cool as models, those master castings being some of the best I've seen, but terrible as work trucks. Especially the last ones built with the Ford transit engines and wiring, a friend had one for 5 years, it spent 8 months of its life being rewired and having gearbox and clutch rebuilds.
You might try finding a local dealer that buys collections but you definitely won't get top dollar that way. If you have anything special you'd have to sell them separately to maximize the price but selling this stuff isn't really my area of expertise so I don't know what the best way to do that is.
Not really. It used to be cheaper to buy the models directly from China, but now there are plenty of sites that offer them for Chinese retail, state-side, some with free shipping
