Can you do a whole video on friendship sometime? I am in a weird place in life and found myself pretty much friendless and I am so lonely. I work remote so it’s been a struggle finding my people. I would love to just hear stories of your friends and how you met them❤

Write first! Worry about who is reading later, otherwise you won't write with abandonment - which is key actually. As an author and novelist myself, I find when we enjoy the writing process, our readers will enjoy reading it too.

Nina, from a writer to another writer. Writing is rewriting. You might find the process more joyful if you begin by writing the story you are trying to tell yourself and eventually, just like a paper, go back, analyze it, and change what you have until you are satisfied with the depiction of your idea; repeat. I find this method rarely fails to take me to the zone.

Nina, I completely related to you when you talked about writing! Like you, I'm an avid reader and have written for my whole pleasure since childhood. In the last six months, I've started a little project; I've only written 14,000 words yet, but it keeps me occupied, and creative and distracts me from my phone, which has improved my mental health and anxiety. It might never be read by anyone else and that's fine.

Loved this Nina, cool to see your writing journey. I recommend the podcast "The Shit No One Tells You About Writing". It is hosted by an author and two literary agents and you will learn so much about how to write, how to read like a writer, what a reader wants, what an agent wants etc. Also, do not ever think your writing will be shitty! It is all self expression and it is all valid. And you have to go through the mediocre stuff to get to the great stuff, so no writing is ever wasted because you never know what will spark an idea. ❤
