Please never stop making videos Nina, even if it’s just once in a blue moon! You’re a beautiful person with an equally beautiful life and I’d greatly miss these check ins 🥹
your videos have brought me so much joy and comfort for the last 7 years!!! i adore your content and hope you keep making videos (at whatever frequency feels comfortable for you) ❣️❣️❣️
i only just came across your channel and so glad you kept on making videos. they have such a realistic and calming quality. but so good to listen to your wants, desires and needs, taking pauses and stopping on your own terms
i feel you on the writing too. i find it so hard to do anything long form (literally just managing article/essay length really). my goal for the autumn onwards is to try to sit down, be disciplined about it and try to get something out. Solidarity and sending you positive writing thoughts!
I don't think I've ever commented on your videos, I usually don't interact much with youtube, but I've been following for maybe 6 yeara and absolutely love your videos, the editing and insights you give, even justt seeing you regular every day life gives me peace, idk why ❤
that little excerpt made me so happy to read, thanks for letting us see a glimpse of your writing. you have a very special voice and it makes me excited to read this new novella if you decide to share it. keep doing what ur doing, you have so much talent and it's meant to be shared with the world!🌻
Finallyyyyy!🎉❤❤ Please, never ever stop making videos Nina🙏 You are such a beautiful inspiration to all of us I also read your newsletter and it is Omg! so amazing and as vulnerable as you love about other writers. I read it twice already❤
Finally a new video! Yeeey! 😊😊 I'm so glad to see you back on you tube. Hope you will post more frequently again... I love your videos and your way of life, it's so inspiring, refreshing and relexing... All the best, love you ❤️❤️❤️
It's wonderful to see your vlog once again! I was pleasantly surprised to see that you read Snow Country. As a Japanese person who has never explored Kawabata's work, it has sparked my curiosity, and now I'm tempted to give it a try.
So good to see you again here and you seem to feel so well, i'm happy for you. You're, to me, so inspirational, thanks for this video. Sending you good vibes from La Rochelle (a little french coast city).
Ay what a sweet and wonderful comment to read! Thank you so much for sticking around through a chaotic upload schedule hehe. I appreciate you lots and send you the biggest of hugs 💖 how I would love to be in French Coast city!
I struggle with reading. Any suggestions for how to cultivate reading and writing as a habit? Also, how do you bookmark while you read and how do you use them later especially if its a loaned book? Always lovely to watch your creations
Happy you are back! I love watching your videos on a sunny Sunday morning. I cannn never stick to a decision either! Watching out for the next Hot Sad, Hot Hungry ✨
Hi Nina, it’s great to see you back! If you decide to go further westward on your reading journey, I would highly recommend „The god of small things“ by Arundhati Roy. She is an Indian writer and this book is one of my all time favorites, a wonderful mix of humanity and fantasy :)
For Ghana, I highly recommend 'Homegoing' by Ghanaian-American Yaa Gyasi. I really enjoyed 'Mothers and Sons' which is a collection of short stories by the Irish Colm Tóibín. Beaurifully written stories about 'ordinary' life in Ireland. For Wales, 'Welsh Witchcraft: A Guide to the Spirits, Lore, and Magic of Wales' by Mhara Starling is such a fun read. Probably can't get hold of it Australia mind!
Nina if your reading journey ever takes you to the heart of Europe, the Czech Republic, I'd highly recommend you read the book R.U.R. by Karel Čapek. It's a short drama from 1920 but still relevant to this day! Take care 💞
Hi Nina! First of all I love your vibe and I`m always happy to see you posted a new video ☺ Regarding your international book journey may I recommend the bulgarian autor Georgi Gospodinov. Just yesterday he won a Booker prize which is a huge recognition for our country 🙌 He won for his novel "Time shelter" but I would also recommend his short and ultrashort stories. Hope you give him a chance 🤗
0:10 I'm curious, did you happen to get the prints in your kitchen in Utrecht? I lived there for a bit and there was a couple that made glycee prints similiar to the ones you have hung up :)
Also if you’re looking for something different, I absolutely adored Our Share of Night/Nuestra Parte de Noche by Mariana Enriquez. Think dark Argentinian political horror, cults, queerness, multi generational madness - amazing!
Hey Nina :) I'm wondering if you could give me a recommendation for a book. Basically I barely ever read. I would like something that is enjoyable, light, easy to read. something that will encourage me to read haha because I can' struggle with boredom and concentration. if there's anything that springs to mind please let me know! otherwise I understand this may be difficult so no problem if not :) lots of love
