This week is all about self-care. And not the trendy spa/nails/hair self-care, but ways that I'm making sure I'm genuinely cared for physically, mentally, and spiritually to be able to be a healthy mom while solo-parenting. Health and wellness for a mom is key. My top recommendation: a gym with childcare and kids activities. I don't have to sacrifice my health because I'm lacking childcare.
I share my top must-have self-care tools, but my absolute favorite is my completely customized journal. Planning out my week and days ahead of time makes sure our days run smoothly. This week I planned to get new running shoes, so I went to get my feet fitted for running shoes for the first time.
Harper and I have officially become tennis girls! When I watched my four year old take her first tennis lesson, I was inspired to take it up too, so one day the two of us can play together. Mother-daughter activities with my daughter is something I take very seriously and I'm so excited to have this to bond with my daughter over.
I recently got an Oura ring and give my honest review of my Oura ring in this week's vlog. My Oura ring is absolutely part of my self-care must-haves. It's helped me track my periods, get better rest, and get my stress levels lower.
I've been having to do DIY home maintenance on my own since my husband is gone and I'm not a fan. Does anyone know if a regular 9 volt battery will work for a smoke detector or will a regular one work? 😅
