Taste the waste, boy, taste the waste. I don’t know why, but those lyrics and so many more on this song hit so close to home for me. Deaner’s vocals just seem so gutting, and choked up it’s honestly beautiful. Getting that sensation of nostalgia before I was born. I think Ween just became my favorite band.
Amazing and crazily awesome!!! No doubt! But my favourite version remains the one from , "Paintin' The Town Brown"....Same with the "Awesome Sound"...both are so good that they're otherworldly!!!
These were the last shows I got to see with my buddy before some asshole ran him over on his bike : ( He was as big a fan of WEEN as me. I flew from Hawaii for these shows. It will be forever a bitter sweet memory. If you live in or around Denver, yes, I'm talking about Drew Deitrich. One of the coolest souls I will ever meet.
So what if I just rewound it five times to The beginning of Deaner’s verse🤫😂? when 3:03 comes, I close my eyes, hands clenched tight, tears fall, and in that moment it’s just me and him singing ”taste the waste....”..... ughhhhhh. Best version of this song hands-down. Love it.
Wow Gene can still do those solos. I feel like he doesn't know he can play, even when he's channeling god. Maybe he just doesn't get that powerful inspiration from many songs...
This was so emotional live and the highlight of the weekend for me and I’m sure many others. Thank you, Ween for reuniting and bringing so much joy to us
Met Deaner outside a show. He was smoking s cig by himself and when i said 'thank you so much for what you do" he just looked at me and said nothing. It was perfect. Thank you again
+Jack Edwards nah man, for where ween is today, this is perfect. the original recordings and old vids are always around, but as it is, this tune is way stronger now than ever
