Wegovy Injection: How to Use 

Today is my first dose of wegovy and I’m so nervous. I’m ready for my weight loss journey but at the same time I’m feeling overwhelmed.

First Injection club!!

This was soo simple I thought something was wrong when I did it… my first medication in March was ZEPBOUND and it worked WONDERS but after my first 30 day supply, I could no longer get it- it was like a medical desert in stores.. Geesh, this is week 3 without me not having medication until my pharmacy left me a message about having Wegovy for me. Today’s my first day using it and I will say that the Wegovy pen is better than the ZEPBOUND pen. Yes, I dont care for needles but I felt the sting every time and Wegovy I didn’t. Hope everyone has a great weight loss journey experience and I pray this medication works for me too.

Just did my third. Came here to make absolutely sure I’ve been doing it right. So helpful, I didn’t want to hit a vein or muscle. I haven’t had any bad symptom, only a little bit of a rush like you get with a fat burner pill and a little, slight what I can only call dizziness but barely. I’m very excited for this journey! I have just done the third and so far so good!

Thank you very much for this clear communication on how to inject the Wegovy pen shot. I been having it for 4 days, wanted to start over weekend since, I heard a lot about side affects. I had been looking on how to inject it and watch couple videos before this one and was able to inject it your video that provided clear, easy, communication. I just did my first self injection & your video addressed my 2 major concerns. Thank you for mentioning that the yellow bar doesn’t fully fill the view window. This made me think I had a faulty pen at first. After watching other videos & yours I saw that they all looked like mine when I was done so I was relieved, & your mentioning it made me feel so much better, so thank you. Now my other concern is when I was done I pulled the pen away from my body & what looked like water spilled out since it was trapped against my skin. I didn’t know what this was until I started watching videos. Since the medication is clear I now believe that this was the injection that didn’t go in. Naturally I am concerned I didn’t do it right or receive my entire dose. Your mentioning the liquid helped relieve anxiety since I now know I’m not the only one this happened to. I plan to push the pen tighter against my belly next time & wait for 10 seconds or more in hopes all the medicine will go in & no liquid will spill when I am done. Is this correct and a good plan for next week?

Perfect video. Clear, concise, extremely informative, short and to the point. Wish I had seen this video first before administering my first dose today. I did it in my upper arm because it was listed & shown as one of the three injection sites in the "How To Instructions" inside the box. And now I'm wondering if the injection went into more muscle than fat? After seeing this video, I realize it would have been better to do the back of the upper arm instead of the front. I'll administer the next dose in the abdomen. Great video.

I can't wait kind of excited and this video helped me I don't like needles and I give Blood all the time but I close my eyes...so here we go just left the doctor asking can they see if my insurance will pay for this....new journey and here's to working...I am already eating healthy and exercising so this should help me reach my goal...

First dose today for me.

First shot of WEGOVY at .50 today after being on Zepbound, but can’t find it these days. This was super easy to follow. Trusting the yellow line because I didn’t feel a thing. 😅 Note: I initially attempted this in my thigh. Pressed hard but never heard the first click. Liquid still in pen. No yellow line showed up. So I tried my stomach and it worked perfectly. Not sure why my thigh didn’t trigger it, but oh well!

Hi guys, I am curious about the devices. Is this one especially easy to use compared to the Ozempic one?

I have been doing needle semaglutide with B12 injections and finally insurance approved this stuff ITS SO MUCH CHEAPER DEAR LORD THANK YOU, but my question is how does the needle know when to engage? Once you take the lid off is it timed or something, literally how does it know when to engage am I going to miss it if I don't hurry and have it in place quick enough? God I wish I could just keep using the vial and syringe, it was so easy and painless

Hi thank you for the video I did it for the first time last Sunday and it spilled on me so I guess I didn’t do it Right, after watching the video I hope I will succeed.

I store this in the fridge. Taking my first dose tomorrow. Does it need to be room temp. before administering?

How do I set the dosage though? The pen shows 0-1.7 with just small lines inbetween? I have no idea what these little lines indicate individually?

First injection done. I have never given myself a shot of anything before I was unnecessarily nervous. It didn’t hurt. But I did see a little liquid at the site after I removed the pen. Which means I need to leave it longer?

I did my second dose. I did it, how I supposed to do. Is it normal for it to leak out on your skin? Just done that twice to me

I think I did mine a little to high from were it said to inject on the stomach hopefully ok

How you know if you did it right ?

The instructions say to avoid areas with scars or stretch marks, which is my whole belly from the navel down. There is plenty of fat above the navel area but the instructions don't seem clear that this is an appropriate spot. It also says not to inject into muscle so I'm hesitant to use the thigh because my legs seem muscular to me, at least the tissue is firm in the injection site. Would it be ok to inject up and to the left of the navel about 4 inches, or is that too far up?

I did mine today and there was liquid dripping after removing. I waited till the yellow line quit moving. Did I do it wrong?

I would like to know if I can use another inyection if the first time didn’t work. I did mine today but I did it wrong

I have to the .25 pen. If you don't see the tiny blood on the skin after the shot, does that mean the shot didn't puncture the skin? There was a bit of liquid on the skin.

I did my first dose and I went to high above my belly button. Is it’s still going to work?

So just after injection I have a lump, like the medication is not spreading out but not leaking out, I have been just rubbing the bump out is that fine?

I'm scared to do this, I've been using Ozempic and found the needle easier. My stomach is too squishy for me to push down and feel like it's firm. I already wasted one dosage. I'm going to try to get enough courage to do my thigh tomorrow.

I think I pushed way too hard because there’s a bruise and it’s been 7 days and my leg still hurts 😢
