The doctor who prescribed me Ozempic knew I had gallstones, but figured the benefits of me losing weight were much greater than the risk of aggravating the gallstones. I started at 272 lbs, down to 235 in 11 months. My weight loss is much slower than yours (I’m older). My understanding is that when I started the drug, it would be for life, but I hope to be able to ween to a lower dose for maintenance when I hit my goal (nothing too drastic, long as I’m under 200 lbs). Some of the things you’re saying are not correct. Example: 4:13, you said the medication stopped working. What she said is that she is not taking the medication anymore, not that the medicine stopped working. Not sure of your motives here.

Years ago my GI doctor wanted to take out my gallbladder and I refused. I felt the same way you do. I still have mine 17 years later and I haven't had any issues. Best choice I ever made. I feel like it's there for a very important reason. Some people do great without one but I know some people who struggle without it.
I don't believe in coincidence. Your video popped up in my feed for Wegovy. I'm 59 and have struggled with weight all my years. Im 5'9 and the smallest I've been is 161lbs never again.Heaviest 305lbs during pregnancy. This confirmation for me to give it a try. My primary Dr suggested this drug for me on Thursday the 2nd of May. I was apprehensive only because I have a phobia of needles. I will move forward with this journey. Please be careful with gallbladder episodes. I started out like you. My last episode sent me to the ER vomiting bile. I almost died. You don't know what your trigger could be with this disease. look into using the compound medication. you get it prescribed by a doctor online and then you get your prescription directly from the manufactoring pharmacy. 1 month is only like $200-300. I am on the compound now ,and I dont even feel the urge to eat
Henry, about nine months. Working well, but I did have some nausea and diarrhea six months in. It's controlled now. I have lost 35 lbs. and couldn't be happier!

Omg thank you for the update I was having flare up’s too! I only lost 6 pounds I was able to reach 1mg. But stopped because the pain was very uncomfortable
I followed you from the start and was gonna try wegoy, but at the time when I was finally approved, I wasn't at my deductible, so I would have to pay out of pocket at $1,000 a month so we switched to putting me on phentermine and topiramate back around 5/2023 and I've lost over 50 lbs. I went from 194 to about 141.
I agree w you. I know we can live without a gallstone yet it does have it purpose. Plus in reality, these drugs are not meant to last forever. In all people got to learn how to eat and eat low carbs so the cravings of sugar and carbs are reduced and etc. Plus you look great now....just continue regular mindful lifestyle.
I ended up in an emergency room one day after having a horrible stomach ache for 3 days straight and it was gallstones attack. I was told fatty foods trigger them so i had it removed. Its been over 5yrs and ive been fine ever since. I did research aftrwards that you can heal yourslf frm gallstones if you dont want to have gallbladder removed but i rushed my decision and opted for surgery. Becareful with ozempic/wegovy im reading alot that it can cause thyroid cancer down the road becuz i was considering the shots but now im going to wait and just stick with a diet and exercise for now...
HI Tatiana. Missed your insights into how to handle not being on Wegovy. I started Wegovy at the end of April 2023 at 192 lbs and I stopped in the first week of January at 137lbs. It is now the first week of May and the hunger is defiantly back I gained about 10 lbs back so I'm currently 147. I"M Really Scared About Regaining Weight .But i am going to fight real hard to do the right thing. Tell me how you are not gain back the weight I need guidance and encouragement. Lol
I’ve been on wegovy for 6 months and have lost 50lb…I’m always worried about my gallbladder (although thankfully no issues 🙏🏼). If you start gaining a significant amount of weight back, will you get your gallbladder removed? Or is that an absolute no for you? I am an RN and even worked in surgery at one point and am STILL afraid of going under for surgery after seeing a good amount of people have gallbladder surgery. I think if I had to do it, I would to stay on the medication. I am just genuinely curious if you might end up doing it. Also thank you for all your videos 🙏🏼
I recently stopped my injections and took a two week break .. I restated this week . Im 10 lbs from my goal wt and I think I’m going to pause again .. I think my future use of this med is going to be me spot checking my wt and appetite and taking the med when needed (when my wt is increasing AND my cravings are heavy loud… two weeks off though and I gained 1lbs from my prior wt but I’m super stressed right now with grad school so the cravings came back heavy and I was starting to late night stress snack which is my biggest issue

If you go to a med spa please make sure their doctors are legit and that they are the one administering the drug. There’s someone on here who had a devastating result from getting B 12 shots at a med spa
I remember some years ago I was on a weight loss program that consisted of mainly of protein drinks. They prescribed me meds to take weekly that prevent gallstones. Cant remember the name of it but once I start losing significant lbs on wegovy I will ask for it.
Hi Tatiana, I know you have PCOS as well and one thing that has been helpful to me is Ovasitol, it's an inositol powder that has been recommended to a lot of women with PCOS. If you're still having trouble with your appetite or being hungry a lot, I'd recommend giving it a try.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us! I hope your daughter is feeling better! I found you when I first started Wegovy in August. My gallbladder was removed before I was ever on it, but I was getting so many attacks that I had to go to the emergency room for emergency removal. If you happen to get an attack ever again (hopefully not), just track what you ate the days of the attacks to see if there's any pattern. Hopefully you no longer have issues with it! But anyways, I am still on Wegovy and currently down about 50lbs, my doc wants me to lose another 40lbs or so. What I am noticing now that I have been on the max dose for a while is that weight loss is pretty slow, maybe 1lb per week. Did you have the same experience on the max dose? I hardly have an appetite, but I do still crave food at times, particularly sweets. I don't work out at all like I am supposed to, but I have been walking a lot.
I got mine out after getting to ER - stone was moving out. At the beginning I didn't have any idea I had a stone in Gallbladder, and then only I got in ER, was found that my Gallbladder was in critic condition. 🤦♀Thanks STONE! 🙏😂
Thank you for the update I have tryed to get Wegovy But the give me Mounjaro I think my body got use to it so the gave me Ozempic Now that works like a charm I am getting this weight down while controlling my diabetes we shall see but thank you for your Video’s you helped me hella much stay blessed
Gallstone attacks are horrible but I do regret getting my gallbladder removed. No one told me about the frequent diarrhea that could be caused by not having a gallbladder and bike constantly being dumped into your stonach because of it🙄

I have just started my semaglutide compound injections and am on my 5th shot. I have not loss any weight yet so I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong. Did you ever find another food tracking app to use instead?

Girl you don’t need Wegovy for a 20 pound weight loss, come on! Just add some physical activity if you’re already doing that, then get into a calorie deficit. Go to TDEE put in the #’s like your age, height etc and it’ll tell you what calories you need for a deficit and do that. If you find after a week you’re not losing at least .5-1 pound then lower the calories another 100-200.
When a doctor said you can dye and you just said i will try to get it somewhere else , make me think is one of the effects of this work is to get addicted... no in my right mind and doctor tell me that and i will try to get it
Hi can anyone tell me how long after their first shot of Wegovy they started to lose their appetite. I am on day 4 and no change at all. Also I had my gallbladder out when I was 17 so I wonder if that makes a difference 🤔 Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thankyou 🙏
Same here, no matter which ones he tried to write the prescriptions for, wegovy, or any of them. They said they don't cover weight loss drugs, which is crazy to me.
I think that is common for most insurance unfortunately. I think it's only covered if you have pre-existing conditions along with a high BMI. I was approved due to having a high BMI, autoimmune disease, hypertension and being pre-diabetic. My mom has the same insurance provider as me and was denied even though her BMI was higher than mine.
I have BCBS and it is covered. I called my insurance company and my doctor had to complete a pre-authorization form and it is covered. Call your insurance company
glad you didn't get your gall bladder out....honestly I feel like they are so gung ho to do these surgeries so they can get paid and everything they do is in an effort to not get sued. More then likely you had the stones before you started. The gallbladder is a very important organ that plays a big roll in the body if you can keep it you should and of course as always do what's best for you. love ya
