I reduced 5 kgs by following IF. when I feel hungry I drank lot of water. 14 hrs was smooth. The last 2 hr before breaking the fast was very difficult. I tell myself that you are eating your fat and you will be fine.
I went from 104 kgs to 75 kgs, shedding a total of 29 kgs by adopting a one-meal-per-day approach. I chose to stick to a family tradition - the same food consumed by my ancestors, including my grandfather and great grandfather. Believing that our shared genes benefited from this diet, I aimed to maintain my health with the food my body recognizes and understands well.
Very inspiring especially since doctors themselves admit they are not taught prevention and only taught solution. Thanks again Dr Pal you have showcased it wonderfully. Also Dr Anushka. Proud to be a Chennaiite!

Hi Dr. I am vegetarian, so i was eager to know Dr. Anusha's diet plans. But you dnt discuss this part. Wish to know that and if this discussion included that then it would be a complete package for beginners like me
Lovely interview Dr. Thanks to both of you. Her talk was Very much informative. U asked her very good questions. Whatever you advising us thats wat she also followed. Avangala kadaisi la paada vecchadhukku oru periyya thanks.
The RU-vid algorithm recommended this video, my first, and I loved the conversation. Just felt like sharing a thought as a health enthusiastic As a vegetarian we don't hv to worry about protein intake at all if we are eating whole food plant based I gather that protein structures us, it builds our muscles which come from various (some 20?) types of amino acids (which I don't know how to pronounce ) It might seem that meat eaters have advantage of getting all those amino acids just by eating a piece of meat and it might appear as disadvantage for vegetarian because not all of these types are available from one single plant source. But in reality mother nature scammed meat eaters, here's why - vegetarians who eat real variety of food (not the junks) say south indian sapaad is the winner . Say I eat in a week , beans, chickpea, soya, keerai greens, lentils, whole grain (red rice not white) etc, and my meat eating friend eats just steak 1 meal. We both got our proteins and it might look like my friend got his amino acids easily in 1 go, but he didn't get, fibre , gut bacteria, phyto-nutrients that came with my protein. Now you may argue that meat eaters would eat all that I ate because they are omnivores. But that make you end up getting excess protein. And any excess protein gets it's nitrogen taken off and turned into carbs and fat at the end of the day. Therefore a vegetarian who eats home cooked fibre rich kaalu, parapu, kaigari, keerai, oorgai, salads, with red rice are better off than any omnivore. Dr pal please edit the videos. Most of it can be reduced to half without reducing the take aways. Topics are good. Life is very busy to see lengthy clips.
DR Anushuka right to each and every detail as I myself experienced it myself. My husband is my companion, started baking cake in healthy way so much that we choose this over other cakes❤
Very happy to hear about your friend. I have doubt 1. gym timing at evening 5 to 7 . No option to change. What is the best time for dinner? Fyi I wanna follow circadian rhythm .
Sir Thanks a lot. for motivational ,responsible videos. This video with Dr.Anu mam is so special is that it exactly portrayed the the autobiography of a doctor with weight loss journey..no healthy life style.Amidst our busy life schedule, anything is possible if we change our mindset..when there is a will there is way.. Thank you so much sir.
It was a very informative video along with lot of fun! Enjoyed watching it every bit! Dr.Anusha has made changes to her lifestyle very sensibly. And good to see Dr Pal appreciate her efforts.
Hi Doctor, 38-Year-Old Male. I'm 168 in height and 60Kg. 16-8 for the past 12 months with 3 days cardio and 3 days weight. My HDL has increased after IF. Is it a bad sign? :( Cholesterol 5.3 mmol/L (3.9 - 5.5) Triglycerides 0.6 mmol/L (0.5 - 1.7) HDL Cholesterol 1.6 H mmol/L (0.8 - 1.5) LDL Cholesterol 3.4 mmol/L (1.7 - 3.5) Could you please explain to us about LDL and HDL in detail sometime in the future? Despite following an IF and a Good diet why my blood cholesterol is at the borderline.
Dr. Pal would like to mention that your videos make IF and time restricted feeding sound doable, as it makes lot of sense and so acceptable. I started time restricted feeding first and then followed it IF only after watching your video, It's been 2 months now and about 3 kilos gone.
Wonderful session Dr Pal, great work 🎉kudos to you.. It will be a great help, if Dr Anusha can share her diet,as what exactly she ate during this process....as iI am also vegiterian.. Will be a great help to include Protein.. Thank you in advance Dr😊..

Dr Pal, been following your videos lately. Can you help me understand the alternative idea to having a protein rich diet which is a very western concept. In ancient India, our forefathers who lived healthy and lived long did not consume 100 GM of protein on a South Indian vegetarian diet. Would like to know how they managed to stay healthy with just milk and milk products in their diet.
U know so much important information is their in this video where i got so many answers for questions.. thanks to both of u for the valuable information.. thanku Dr pal Love u from the bottom of my ❤️
Dear Dr. Pal This is Nalini from Australia. I have been trying restricted eating for 3 weeks now Doing 14:10 but struggling to lose even a kg. I do eat healthy and I always watch what I eat. Decrease 1 hour from dinner time and follow for 6 weeks. Gradually, you can adjust to ideal eating time 10 am to 6 pm. Take healthy and fiber rich foods with minimum 1200 and maximum 1800 calories. Do some exercise Follow my weight loss series for more details
Thanks for the information. Is it difficult to loose weight after 50 especially for women? Is it advisable to start IF at this age? I do not have any other ailments except back pain..
