I'm an American who's been living in Thailand for the past 20 years. Maybe it's because I've been a (Science) teacher for all these years that I value and appreciate QUIET time.....You have NO IDEA how calming, refreshing and invigorating it is to see such a vid...Clean, quiet snow, a beautiful winter scene, the bare trees and the ground covered in white........no yammering music....no distracting narrative......just some nice quiet air-gunning... Mr. "Real", I know this was not your intent, but for those of us who live in a VERY noisy place, where no one shuts off their phones in public, where folks just LOVE to hear themselves talk , where we see the locals wrapped up in gloves, knitted caps and quilted jackets when the temp outside 'drops' to 50F, (rare, here) this is a genuinely welcome change. Not a single word of dialogue, it would have ruined the whole vid and been totally unnecessary. Thank you for taking the time to make and share such a great vid. More vids like this, please!! Yes a simple plinking video in the snow and the rifle noises are satisfying. Sounds like you should move to a less urban area my friend. Your description reminds me of the movie the beach and their need to escape the touristy atmosphere of Thailand where I believe it was filmed. Thanks for watching and enjoying the video David 🙂😎
Hey everyone! I've tuned over 20 break barrels so far. Not showing off, just saying that I'm not a complete newbie. I really wanted a Weihrauch breakbarrel...but in my country they're a bit expensive. Approx. 500 USD for hw 80 lets say. What I find most convenient is this hw 50 but I had an opportunity and I bought probbably two of the last few Slavia 634's in .22. all I can say is O M G !! Between 10 and 13 fpe, laser beam accuracy, CZ barrel, gorgeous beech stocks and just a plain simple design. The only "tuning" was piston sleeve and some moly paste. Btw..200 USD....
Very cool thanks for watching and sharing. Hw50s isn't as heavy and is nicer for off hand shooting . They are expensive but pretty cool. Cz is very good too I always wanted a CZ 527 among others. I didn't do any polishing or tuning other than adding the kit. It works great with the ultralight scope. The scope was more than the rifle
I think that maybe it sounds quiet because of the snow on the ground, what do you think? My HW50S makes more noise than this one, not much, but more than it seems hereon the video. I do know that snow really muffles the sound of my .22 rimfire rifles.
I have the same rifle but untuned, unfortunately it’s been raining here for the past 3 weeks so no shooting😢 How many ft/lbs does it make with that vortek kit?
Hy Randy, there's a thing that I can't understand, I shoot 25 meters with a crosman 2240 with 14 inch barrel and it can pull up spoons with 11-12 joules but your HW50S with 16 joules can't do it, which is the reason? My crosman uses jsb rs express too.
i didn't know canada was that strict on air rifles and guns in general,, we are getting pathetic here too, i don't like all the shootings either but taking away our guns isn't the answer,, then why are cars still legal after all the drunk driving deaths???
i like how yours sounds,, i own 3 gas piston rifles,, 2 gamo, the magnum and swarm, both 22,, and the hatsan carnivore 30 cal,, my next 1 is probably going to be the weihrauch hw80 in 22,,
awesome I've been trying to convince my friend to buy an hw80 or hw95 or any weihrauch really but id love to shoot an 80. If he gets one I will forsure make a video. I went with the s 50 cuz its so light and handy great to carry through the bush.... and ya Canada is ok for rifles if you have a licence but we gotta register handguns here and can't shoot them anywhere but a range approved by the feds.. I'm guessing you live in one of the freer states? I here some states are getting pretty restrictive too?
i live in florida,, i am from north central maine,, california is turning socialist.. i'm glad you can have hand guns,, american laws require hand gun registration as well, i am anxiously waiting for my hw50s,, i might get it tuned,, i don't know,, i love your scope caps,, pretty cool red button release,, stay warm , :)
