Thanks for the video, would you please check my reply about HW85's stock and comment it? I thought of making it longer by adding plastic sleeve to the end of stock, some big calibre shooters (7,9x52, etc) always use them for "having too long hands". I have very long hands despite not being very tall, this is great for bow shooting...
Thank you very much for your review of the hw85. I am looking at purchasing one. I appreciate you helping me decide, I actually like the idea of the longer barrel. You answered my questions, looking forward to more videos keep up the good work. Jim
Hey Jim, thanks a lot for watching and your comment! Great, that my Video helped you. We invest a lot of time, and there will be much more videos in the future! Wish you a great start in 2022! Best regards! Andi
The HW 85s I remember had a raised scope rail & the end of the action screwed off like the Hw80s etc. This one seems to have the same end block as the 95 & 99s.
As always Andi, great review. I had a HW85 in the 90's. And if I'm honest it was a total nail ( rubbish). I heard later that there were some grey imports into Britain, and wondered if mine had been a rouge. Was glad to get rid of it. Now enjoy a HW95, which is a far nicer beast. Keep up the great reviews, and nice they are English ( as unfortunately I don't hold a word of German) 👍
Do you mean that the 85 is a 35 without the barrel latch? A 7,5 Joule springer has always a low recoil. Even an export model HW30 has more than 7,5 Joule. In fact it's a disgrace to for the name Weihrauch to own one in Germany. To buy a all bigger HW modells than the 30 in Germany is in my opinion just stupid. You will never know the capability of these great rifles.
I feel like when the rifle is big and it’s not very powerful the shoot feeling it is better than the small rifle whit the same power, I have a old Diana 45 , which is big, 20 1/2 inches barrel, total 45 inches long, and it’ll shoot 800 fps, and shoots very nice it’s almost my favorite rifle because of that 👍👋
That's right. Longer barrel seem to suit shooters who are used to shoot with long barrel match rifles, it requires artillery hold due to oval shape of the stock. That didn't suit me until results to 25, 30m got very good with 7,5J.
@Airghandiworld Hey Andi, can you confirm that the hw95 and the hw85 are exactly the same exept for barrel lengh? I wish to know the internal dimensions. thank you so much in advance
@@N.i.l unfortunately the 85 was discontinued I like the long barrel , but you can get the 80 which has 20” barrel, I just bought an 98 from mundilar air guns , store in Portugal they have a version of the 98 whit 20” inches barrel and beautiful stock 👍
