As a 34 year old man who got into the Dead at age 9. I am so happy that I can still see live shows. I was only fortunate enough to see em' with Jerry twice. Many my age were not that lucky. I love everything about the Dead. The music, the people, the kindness, the generational Segway, everything. I think its funny that people call me a hippie to try and insult me. I take their words as compliments. A peaceful, friendly person is exactly how I want to be looked at. Peace everyone
This was a freat video. They all look very relaxed and the music reflects it with a friendly at home feel. Leslie Mendelson is a nice find. She has a nice voice and good phrasing. I am surprised at the melodic similarities between "I Can't Stop Lovin' You" and "You Win Again".
I remember that blizzard in '93. Show was cancelled and the hotels were packed to the brim with heads. It was an all night rage. They were able to play the next night. Miss those days. I was 15.
Love how they regail my first show! 6/12/80 Mt St Helens Blew During FOTM We all had our own war stories about how we made it up to seattle the next day.... cool to hear they had a war story about that show as well, and that they remember it in such vivid detail to this day! What a GEM!
in him that I wouldn't say that she wanted to "market", but from the interview she innately knew that he (Bob Dylan) could be huge. I to am grateful that these guys are still at it and that all of this is available at a click. Thank you, it could be easily to get spoiled. God Bless all of you guys.
My ears are happy that's for real. Beautiful, great music and funny stories. The guitarist sounded familiar and the quality of musicianship and vocal ability was amazing.
They call me trip or tripps from wisco been chase'n this musical evaloution for 20 years year's thanks for all the miracles and awsome time's thank you bob dancing man of minasota been missing you all hopefully see you all this summer peace love music america be kind be decent human beings ....
My brother and his friend once snuck in and caught trout in the Fashion Island shopping center ornamental pond. I also thought this was absolutley awesome. Even better than the Sportsmen's Lodge.
tri studio streaming is the best...... Its like having Weir and friends right in my living. Been listening to the Dead since early 70's......Man oh man this is great....
Leslie Mendelson was given generous time to showcase her nice little songs, and was clearly proud of herself, but they humbled her some with that China/Rider.
You can't think that any of these guys dreamed any of this up (internet television, live streaming, let alone be and had been successful musicians and band.) back in 1964. I don't believe their idea was to become "rock stars", I suppose, I mean I never have spoken to any of these guys and asked "Hey back in the 1960's did you want to become a rock star?" I imagine that not, I suppose. I once saw a well produced documentary about Bob Dylan and Joan Baez was being interviewed and she say something
Cassidy was nice,I liked the female voice with Bob's. I think this show is "necessary " in some way,for deadheads. The music is intimate, stories wonderful. I think it would be cool for the players, the insiders, etc to hear "stories from the other ones", the deadheads themselves.Ie exploits in the parking lots,,etc..just an idea from a 300+ dead show veteran..lol .
He's just tired. I am going to see him Friday the 12th of July I hope to talk and I will see how he is. Everyone has to stop making a big deal over little things. Phil went through a bought of cancer and he's fine. Bob's just a little over worked. LET IT BE.
this is-int about bobby make money it him being himself and doing what he dose best that's play music he did when jerry was alive with bobby & midnights and i reading a lot bad shit hey he aint 25 years old and he dose grate job and when hes with further u have love how they pull out with just phill &bobby with out micky billy they do shit we have heard in 30 years so know ther music before u put it down yes he has bad nights so did jerry
Im sorry but bill kreutzmann was much more important to the dead than mickey hart. mickey is a great drummer but it was billy that was there the whole time and in my opinion bill is a much better drummer. also how could you leave out pigpen or keith its the whole band man coming together like fingers on a hand.
