But he survives though. And he spends decades getting his phd in genetics, becomes mayor to a town and steals the talent of the world's best football players (sometimes soccer, but mostly football) and turns them, and himself, into mutants only to see his plans stopped by a couple of kids and Ibrahimovic. What a life this man has had He even was animated at one point, or multiple
Crazy that shortly after this interview, Weird Al would go on to win the award for 'Perhaps Not Technically the Best but Arguably the Most Famous Accordion Player in an Extremely Specific Genre of Music', but would be assassinated by Madonna after receiving it, leaving him to enjoy the benefits from achieving his lifetime goal for only a few short moments.... RIP Al, you a real one
@@eggsandfbihrt962In 1985. After winning the 'Perhaps Not Technically the Best but Arguably the Most Famous Accordion Player in an Extremely Specific Genre of Music', as documented in the 100% real biopic.
@@pizzaissogoodright5076 I just watched the biopic the other day. Said he was killed by one of Madonna's men during an award show when making a speech.
@I am a peanut I thought it was when he did "Al TV". He would just host MTV back when that was relevant, and those interviews were between music segments. The Weird Al show was a parody of Peewee's Playhouse.
@@johndean4727 In reality, Weird Al has only seen Madonna in person for like 15 seconds, while in the movie they have this whole romantic speal. You'll have to watch the movie on Roku to see why.
@@Vixensillybonez I think he's been a little busy working on a movie. Which is in actual fact a parody of his own life, so he has been working on one. It's just a really long parody that took a long time to make.
@@bencockerill42 That opens a whole new can of worms. How trustful is the research being made? Has anyone else interviewed actually taken a bus trip to Boise, Idaho, but decided to pretend they haven't? Hotel? Y la moto? Y Candela? Que paso boluda?
@@Meme_Lor That's why they would lie about never have gone there. As for the one who would... Well, there's another line of questioning there. (btw i'm not american I don't know what's with Idaho but I'll take your comment for it)
There are a lot of them on the Tube already. Not released by Al, but still the same quality as this one. The Mariah Carey one is good. "Say, Mariah, is Carey a Japanese name?" "No." "Ah. So where are you from?" "Japan..."
Weird Al for me growing up in the 80's was a reminder to always have fun. To not take oneself too seriously. I subscribe to this today and it's saved me a world of pain through the years as well as helped develop my own sense of humor. I had a hard Father (still do, but he's older and more tired now) and the notion of keeping things as light as possible, especially during dark times, molded my abilities to tell myself jokes and push through. Today, I share them with as many people as I can. Life is hard enough, amiright? Thank you, Al, for representing us "Weirdo's" in the best way possible. Through art and your own personal genius. xoxo (Edit: OH AND SEE THE MOVIE!! FREE ON THE ROKU CHANNEL!)
It’s too bad the academy won’t recognize Weird for Oscars. Evan Rachel Wood and Daniel Radcliffe did an amazing job. In this clip they look just like the real Madonna and Weird Al
Dammit, this is something I've been planning to do for years...take interviews and splice in more interesting questions. And now I learn that Weird Al went back in time and stole my idea.
@@KAZVorpal I think it varied. Some were clearly fans of the show themselves, others were just nice and worked with them. Some though are genuinely confused and even get angry in a way you can tell isn't fake. I think it depended on how nice the person was and how much they respected them.
Ah, the good old days of Weird Al, just like the modern day Weird Al. I remember seeing this on TV, many moons ago. I am ashamed to say, I haven't seen your new movie, but I'm waiting on 2 other peoples schedules. If it's anywhere near as good as your other movies and shows, I will not be disappointed. Thanks for the years and years and years upon years of entertainment.
I hope the new generation understands that this was a montage, nowadays everyone can do that, but at that time that trick was brand new and hilarious and he was probably one of the first to do it
And decades after this historical interview, Madonna never actually got as famous as the living legend that is Weird Al Yankovic, and also we are looking forward to the spicy intriguing and unbelievable behind the scenes relationship between Madonna and Al, in the upcoming 100% true sensational biographical feature film called "Weird: The Al Yankovic Story" coming to Roku on November 4th this year! Don't miss it! 💣💥
I soooo miss the 80's!!! Can't wait for Movie in a few weeks. AL biopic done by AL - how can this not be awesome! Very much needed at and great timing for the year. Need a laugh!
I wonder if this interview would be remade in the WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story (streaming November 4 on The Roku Channel starring Daniel Radcliffe from "The Swiss Army Man" and "Horns") since this was a pivotal moment in both Al and Madonna at this stage of their relationship and career when they were in talks to tour latin america with Elton John and Kevin Bacon
I don't know who stole each other's fake interview schtick first- you or Ozzy. Honestly I wouldn't want to confront either of you about it because one is the Prince of Darkness and the other is Ozzy. But- having seen you both live with these amazing interview cuts during downtime, you both are AMAZING and I feel super-fortunate to have shared some arena/theater room with you.
She is cool as hell. Just like Al. You can bet this is here with her permission. I would expect that the "Madonna" we know is nothing like the real person.
@@KeithZim plus this was Madonna in the 80s... she's reinvented herself several times since then. So who knows... maybe she'll circle back to this style eventually, lol
This is just like the Paul Is Dead story. The real Weird Al died shortly before the 1985 Music Awards show because he was shot, then they found someone who looks and sounds like him, and now the copy Weird Al makes songs under the name Weird Al Yankovic. it’s sad, true, and horrible. Rest In Piece Weird Al Yankovic
I don't know if anyone else has caught this, but if you listen real closely you can hear him playing the original interviewer's lines out loud and then immediately repeating them as he records. 😆
