Regina Udell I am in a mixed family. I am not missing the understanding by any means. It doesn’t matter how innocent you desire to believe it was, it was steal a comment not needed. The word new means exactly that “NEW” : upgraded, replacement etc. . and the definition to it is insulting in this scenario. They didnt get a “new” dad. Mom got a second husband that plays a parental part with their actual father. They are a great example of blended families and that should be made clear and the term “new’ father is totally incorrect. You are attempting to make it something else or read less into it. Wow Mamoa is really embodying the Hawaiian culture and traditions. In the Hawaiian culture, the men actually do everything and they have the final say. The men put them on a pedestal because they’re in charge of the spiritual growth of children which is a level higher than the physical growth which the fathers are in charge of.
