I'm so glad you guys enjoyed the story at the end! I'll talk more about similar experiences in the future :) Thanks for all the nice comments!!! Subscribe if you haven't
I swear these cult members don't even believe their leader has special powers, they just want an excuse to play around and act goofy as adult. which honestly I can respect.
Ngl Sanrio drops these crazy facts about their characters out of the blue. For example, Pomupomupurin is a dog, Cinnamon Roll is a dog too, but Hello Kitty is NOT a cat; just 'a girl' because she already has an actual cat as a pet. Also, her real name is 'Kitty White' born in the outskirts of London. There's an actual reason why she has no mouth, and that is because it has the message of, "Kindness should not only be expressed from words, but from how one acts." For the Little Twin Stars, their size makes sense because they literally ARE stars.
My theory is the people at 4:00 are just taking this as an excuse to let go and have fun in a way normally not allowed by strict social norms, you can see them laughing hard and having a blast :D very wholesome
I agree. Not only does it fill a sense of community which is highly valued in Japan, they are able to be noisy, roll around and just be a little silly which as you said is typically frowned upon.
I'm using a translation, so I don't know if it comes across well. About the "何卒" passage. In Japan, a high school graduate is considered not very smart. Since the word "何卒" is a bit difficult to read (but it is common knowledge), it means that the person did not read it as "best regards" and misunderstood that you were asking how educated he/she is, which means that he/she is an idiot. Also, I would like to be introduced to the Japanese 2ch stories because it is very interesting.
Basically, no one but an idiot would misunderstand the message, and the reply of 'high school graduate' was the confirmation. It is hilarious, and sad, but mostly hilarious.
Love these videos! It's a great way to learn about the personal lives of people from Japan, their humor and interests and trends and stuff. And it's really relatable too because everyone uses memes :)
Every video is amazing but this one was full of banger memes on repeat. With the addition of a hilarious personal story, this video was so great. If I had to give a scale to YT videos based on quality, an average video on the site is human size, every video on this channel is the combined height of 3-4 Godzillas, and this one is Kiki and Lala size.
You can't help but love all the funny stuff that comes out of Japan. We also love your explanations that truly have thought and personal experience built in. Thank you Japanalysis!!!
That faith healing shit rubs me the wrong way every single time no matter the place of origin. Some people are desperate to be in a group and they don't care how stupid they have to act to be part of it.
I am so glad youtube suggested your channel to me! I've started binge watching your videos and recommending them to my friends. You've put thought into them and it shows so nice job! I've subscribed and can't wait for more videos to come soon!
Meme review and your stories are awesome! I especially like the ones where it’s a pun on Japanese language (floating-left out) or otherwise a fun quirk of Japanese culture (not necessarily what’s just trending online).
@@tr0y644 Have you been to NYC recently? Barely anyone speaks English properly. It's one of the reasons that Americans don't do sarcasm, adverbs and idiom so well anymore. Japanese culture would be rapidly obliterated by a rapid influx of non-Japanese.
@@thursoberwick1948 I guess about New York. I dunno, I was just making a joke about the Japanese obsession with vending machines and our obsession with guns. It was NOT meant to be taken that seriously lol
I love these videos so much, there’s a lot of internet culture/memes new and old that I know about but there’s a lot of Japanese memes that everyone seems to know in Japan so these videos quench my thirst for my meme knowledge
Oh, I just came across this video. I feel it's even weirder that I've already known about some of these memes lmao, but I want to know more of these so I subscribed!
the tinder interaction was well explained and soo funny if you know just a little japanese. concerning the train towing segment, you should add that trainspotting is a big hobby in Japan, I was laughing my ass off at that segment but not sure everyone understand that train otaku culture is a thing. also loved the story about buying Kohh tickets, keep em coming! 🙌👹
Love your vids man! Maybe you already know it or included it in your next video but, please review the “回転寿司” situation happening in Japan. Would love your thoughts on it!
I can’t get enough of these Japanese meme videos - you have NO idea how long I’ve been waiting for a channel like this!! Also, does anyone know the name of the arcade machine on the left at 6:55? I need to know for research purposes
5:28 yeah I understand your explanation, it's a matter of interpretation and of how the characters are normally used I only found this channel like a week ago but I like these meme explanation videos of yours the most out of the content I've seen so far
