AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on RU-vid are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

We Stayed at Shumway Farms this summer and loved it. Cost us a lot in Ice cream. Our son Caleb cried the entire day when we left. He wanted to go back and live there.

What’s not to like about a farm or ranch? I graduated from the University of Wyoming, my roommate for four years was a ranch kid, and I spend 3-4 weekends a month helping him help his folks in the ranch. In reference to the honor system store, my roomie’s folks never locked their doors! Shumway Farms and the farm and the brewery are on my list. Thanks! I should’a been a cowboy! 😉

Was it great? Depending on events after the election, I'm planning to travel to CA, WA, and OR next. My first trip was AZ to FL to Maine, and everywhere in between and now making my way back to AZ for a home base check-in, and then hopefully on the road again! Will stay at Blue Heron if you recommend. :)

Hi Guys, Loved this video! We here in Australia really enjoying staying at what we call “station stays”! It is becoming increasingly popular and of course allows you to experience aspects of country life that we city dwellers infrequently get to experience. Our highlight was Wooleen Station (Ranch) in Western Australia! The owners are endeavouring to rehabilitate country that has suffered extensive damage through drought and overgrazing! They have used the tourist aspect to support this work which has been proceeding for more than a decade! As you found at the dairy farm they also had some wonderful dogs who would accompany you on the various walks and one in particular just wanted you to throw sticks. The stick would of course be returned ready for the next throw. Stay safe! R and J

Good video!! A milking machine? You have not lived until you have milked cows in January at 5 am, -20 to -30 F with the wind howling, by hand!! Oh Yeah!!! I'll have to stop at Melvin Brewing! Have you 2 been to Ten Sleep Brewing? They allow camping!! And there is a brewery within staggering distance!!!

Being brought up on a dairy farm, sometimes the farm work MUST come first and visitors second. May be what the "jerks" experienced. When your at a business, you need to "just roll with it" if they don't wait on you exclusiv. They are letting you stay cheap. That smell you probably encountered was normal for a dairy farm.......love it. Wait till you get on one with an upright silo or bunker silo....ohhhh so good. I can tell you that your host probably didn't notice it. I believe Shumway Farms need to come up with a cologne, "ode de dairy cow".

Am already a Harvest Host member. Didn't get to use it yet., but wish there were more locations along the N.East., Mass, Maine, N.H., VT., Ct., & R.I. But sadly there are not. Due to circumstances I do not get far from Eastern parts., but plan on stretching a little further out in 2021 with an earlier start. Was able to get out 4 times this 2020 season with my 23' AS trailer. I very much enjoy your broadcasts on everything in campin' from A to Z. Hope to try boondocking., maybe moochdocking in N.H. in the Spring as things may return to (normal). Dare I use that word. Have solar & 3400 wt inverter, so I feel I can manage quite easily. Thanx, CamperFrank

Love, love, love Harvest Hosts. We use them all the time. The golf course businesses are our favorite. We were in Missouri last week at a car museum on route 66. Even though they were closed due to the pandemic, the business was nice. The hosts were very friendly when we called ahead to make the reservation. The parking was a little rough, but it was quiet except for a 2 times a day train. But all-in-all, our times at harvest host locations sites are awesome. Couldn't do without them 👍.

We've been watching "full time" videos for several months now and really enjoy your channel! You seem to have figured out a balance with good content. It's interesting, informative, you don't try to be comedians, and you don't repeat yourselves constantly. Thank You! My wife and I are late 60's and long time RV owners and vacationers but are in a position now to spend some more extended time on the road. We will always have a home base but would like to spend multiple months on the road starting next spring. I keep a notebook when watching youtube and greatly appreciate your info on places to stay and info about each area you visit. I am also a former mechanic and your towing tech info is spot on. Keep up the good work! John A. Des Moines IA

If you're ever in PA, I'm pretty sure The Vinyard at Hershey, which is both a winery AND a brewery, is part of the program. It is gorgeous. It's right off the highway (283), too. We saw some folks obviously with HH setting up along their little pond and were very jealous of them.

Nice episode guys. HH is the bomb! Seeing rural America is a fun experience. I recommend the GOLF option for $20, even if you don't golf, like us. Most golf locations have a good restaurant you can patronize for breakfast, and there are golf club locations everywhere. It adds to the options for cheap boondocking in towns all over. Sean, I laughed at the NY City dig you made about NY ethics and honesty. Good one, very subtle.

That area between Afton and Alpine are some of my most favorite places... looking for a tiny chunk of no-restriction land there, going fast, and not as cheap as it used to be. Good to know about HH places around there. I'm not the type to park in an RV park, but usually just looking for a place to pull over for the night. (In that area, last time I was there a few months ago, I "camped" at the Continental Divide pass trucker pull-out, right at the high elevation sign :)). This was a refreshing video, I enjoyed it a lot.

Raw milk from grass fed cows is amazing. I am lactose intolerant and never had a problem with raw milk from grass fed cows. Your mileage may vary. Let the cream come to the top and make stuff out of it.

Grass fed milk is the best. In Ecuador you see dairy cows running around on really steep hills and mountains like in Europe. Some brands of milk in Ecuador tasted better than standard organic in the U.S. I couldn't find milk in the U.S. that seemed to tast as good. But now that Organic Valley produces Grass Fed Milk it is very close.

@@glennwhite1841 It will only be grass fed in the summer. It snows in the unglaciated area that Organic valley is in.

First Harvest Host stay was in June at Nelson Family Farm (a Winery) Ukiah California, great people also new to harvest hosting. Found a lavender farm in George, Washington (state). Way more than paid our membership fee in 5 week visiting 5 states. Would recommend to anyone. Planning more trips real soon.
