@@ezelfrancisco1349 To be honest he never expected to get in and was a little bewildered. 😂 But he actually took it seriously and turned out to be a pretty good politician. For his noob speach (a tradition) he pointed out that he didn't know anything about advanced economic models but if they wanted to know more about the common man's struggles of daily life, substance abuse (he was a recovered alcoholic) etc. he'd be happy to teach them. That's the mindset he used for his decisions and tbh I would've voted for him again if he had decided to run a second time.

I have worked with poor constituents before, whose pets fell very very ill and treatment cost tens / hundreds of thousands of pounds (remember, animals don't get treatment on the NHS). Charities (especially in the Tories' age of austerity) have very limited capacities for pets with long-term illness. Neighbours (just as poor as you) can't afford to take on your cat, and rich people don't want a mangy old pet. Of course things are better now with the Internet.

@@peacefulleopard8016 rehoming is usually an option considered by those who can't afford to feed their pet, have to move somewhere they can't take their pet, or are rendered incapable of looking after their pet (I.e. injury or illness) rather than if the pet requires medical treatment.

But there still needs to be a suitable place to rehome them to.

Everyone is so worried about their hair and clothes, but if you're a guy, nobody cares! I mean look at Trump and Biden. People give cats bad reputations all the time. It's infuriating. I've owned cats for the last 15 or so years, and they're awesome.

So are mine. They both follow me everywhere around the farm.

@@HotSkorpion Mines have stayed outside an entire winter on the farm while our farmhouse was being rebuilt, we were in town. I only could come up once a day to check on them (until I got sick.. Town air is dirty) anyway.. My cats remained on the farm and were perfectly fine. Cats are natural born hunters, if played with correctly as a kitten they have the skills needed to catch things. One of my cats regularly catches wild rabbits which are much faster than domestic ones.

You can call it anti-racism, but BLM literally said on their official website that it's a Marxist organisation that intends to destabilise western civilization. Not only that, but it's an American thing too. Why the fuck should we support our football team doing some American football thing. That's a really bad idea. So maybe just, you know, don't support communist virtue signalling poorly disguised as a protest for equality. Especially considering that these "victims of racist hate" are paid hundreds of thousands a week, but want working class folk to be banned from social media and fired from their jobs just for criticising some forwards for not being able to hit top bins, when Harry Maguire, a centre-back, managed to break a fucking GoPro in the top corner of the net. Maybe if people spent less time tweeting and more time doing their jobs, they'd get less criticism. Because in that regard Rashford is just like President Little Hands, who I'm sure you'd be more than happy to call a numpty for that exact reason.

1/ BLM is not a Marxist org/movement - show me where they say they are?! 2/ it's not a 'US football thing' - BLM is an international/global movement for equality in the face of ongoing oppression and prejudice. UK police kill and harm black people too, it's not just a US issue. The numbers may be lower, but that's arguably because so few of our police carry lethal weapons. I've seen first-hand the way London police deal with me (white, cis, educated) and my non-White friends/family/neighbours, and it is NOT the same way! Our next-door neighbour's 14yr old got jumped and assaulted on his way home from the local shops, police arrested him and wouldn't let any family members near him, insisting hw was dangerous, under suspicion, etc. And not giving him first aid, while he was bleeding on the street outside his home (broken nose, cracked ribs, bruises, etc) Multiple neighbours came out to vouch for him and his friend, explain their age that they'd been running scared, going home to be safe from the gang of asian boys chasing them, yet the cops kept insisting he was legally an adult (he's tall for his age but def 14), it was black-on-black gang violence, and later turned up with a warrant and ransacked the family home. Finding nothing because it was all baseless allegations but, of course, being a black working class kid and a single mum they must be anti-social/'what's wrong with this country', etc. They got no apologies either, kid released to go to the hospital (they didn't even take them there, they had to get a cab) and told to be more careful/'think about your future'! That's just the most recent incident, but by no means the only one I've seen.
