Loved the video, it brought back memories of flying the Capstan belonging to the #UlsterGlidingClub with 2 of my children strapped in the passenger seat soaring the ridge. I also flew a one-off glider called the Pelican at Waikerie with it's creator, whose name I can't remember.

This is a unique record of a very special day for Gliding / Soaring. As well as seeing some rare examples, the club was also blessed with the presence of some great people including 92 year-old Daphne Slade (and her daughter Phillipa), who is the daughter of Eric Gordon England.

Why do you think this video is a fraud? This was part 1 of 3 in recording the celebration of the original Weiss Glider which took place nearby our airfield on Amberley mount, Sussex.

Super Cub is too fast for the old gliders. Maybe Tiger Moth would be better for towing. We had the same problem with Citabria. It was too fast and when towing it flew in the stall!
