I missed buying some of this set, which was a shame because the art is beautiful. Pink signed cards look amazing too so definitely looking forward to it if I can buy some.
Crazy how much a color change affects me. I don’t think I would buy a silver sig knowing a gold is out there, but I would be definitely happy with pink. I wouldn’t be surprised if the pink price is a lot closer to gold, but who knows given tcgs emphasis on 1st editions
i thought that was the most amazing part about all this. the fact that the color makes that much of a difference. i still think the price will be lower, not cause of it being a reprint but more cause of supply.
Personally think pink signatures look better than the gold for this set imo so I’ll be grabbing some. Honestly not too worried about value of 1st edition gold signatures or reprint since I mainly collect it for the art and have no interest in selling anytime in the future
Yeah i dont think the color of the signature has nothing to do with the price but the actual supply, its obvious when there's a reprint its because there wasn't enough supply to meet the demand of first edition and stores order way more to not have it happen again. I was going to mention Azur Lane too as an example, here in Europe we got almost no supply for first edition and now the page is full of reprint boxes. Btw some of the signatures that TCG player added are actually from the TDs which didn't get reprinted I guess they just did it since they were doing the others, I can very easily see a second Azur Lane set where they go and reprint the TDs tho so is work already done
yep they showed tds as silver which they normally dont. the slime ones i showed did not have reprints on them so my guess is potential td reprints. yep hopefully people start realizing the color of the sign might not be as important as they think.
