Stone led the AFC in interceptions last year. And Dax Hill will one of the starting outside CB’s along with Cam Taylor Britt and Mike Hilton. DJ Turner and Josh Newton and Dajhan Anthony will back Those guys up. Lot of young hungry talent on the Bengals roster. Dax Hill played CB primarily Nickel CB at Michigan and last year was the first time he had ever played Free safety. Dax is a CB and van be a dominant CB. He had a great camp.
Matt Lee killed it! He will be the starting center in a year book it. Also cedric J9hnson flashed big time in preseason his athleticism really pop off the screen. Erick All showed his blocking chops and catching ability very solid all around. Anthony playing safety and has been one of the biggestvstory through camp didn't see a whole lot during preseason. Newton will be really good he had some ups and downs during the pre season and has had a very solid camp. Mims looks like he will be our best right tackle since Willie Anderson in camp and the only pre season game he played. Jenkins struggled a little his 1st game with double teams but really showed his pass rushing potential and against single blocks he's a problem which is why he shouldn't be a or a 2i. McKinnley Jackson flashed during camp but got hurt so we won't see him for tge first 5 weeks. We signed Just Rogers to the ps a solid runstuffer from UK and auburn. We picked up K.J Henry to.the roster from commanders who was myles murphy teammate at Clemson.
Kris Jenkins is not undersized. He is 6’3’’ 305. And he weighed 299 st Michigan. 300 pounds for a defensive tackle is not undersized. I would consider undersized at DT to be 285 and less. But you are right about Jenkins. He was one of the if not the best DT in the country last year at stopping the run. He has some untapped pass rush juice too. He is quicker and faster than BJ Hill and Sheldon Rankins. I think Je kind comes down with around 5 sacks this year and I think Rankins is going to tie a career high with 8. I think BJ Hill will have a career high too if 6. Jenkins had 1.5 sacks in the pre season.
Dax Hill will be out 2nd starting outside CB. At CB starting it will be CB1 Cam Taylor Britt, CB2 Dax Hill, nickel CB Mike Hilton. Von Bell will start this year not because Battle was bad far from it he was phenomenal last year. Bell is back because they got him on the league minimum as Carolina guaranteed 2 years of salary and for the veteran leadership he brings and the communication he can facilitate on the field. He can take care of the back end which will allow our LBs to play free and fast. This was one of the problems last year. We had 2 rookie safety’s. Bad idea. I could have told them that. Last year we had 2 rookie safety and a rookie outside CB. They aren’t rookies anymore. DJ Turner will be a starter perhaps next year when Hilton is gone I could see Dax Hill moving to nickel and Turner taking over as outside CB2. Josh Newton is a rookie who is going to be good too man. He is something. Smart instinctive things you can’t teach. So if we have an injury at CB or safety I’m totally fine with who we have behind those guys. I like our depth and for the first year in the Zach Taylor era I feel good about our offensive line depth. I really do. We got Cory Ford who can play tackle or guard and he has 3 or 4 years of starting experience under his belt. He started at RT for the Bills when he was drafted and has played guard for the Bills and Cardinals. Then we got backup Center rookie Matt Lee who played the entire preseason and had a pass blocking grade of 87.8 which is near elite. He gave up 0 sacks 0 QB hits and 3 pressures in 4 games. So he is ready to go right now. Great 7th round pick. Then we got Mims who will be the starting RT and he played for preseason game 1 and looked flawless out there. He gave up nothing as well. No sacks no hits no pressures. Then we got Jaxson Kirkland a guy who I would feel comfortable with him starting either tackle spot or either guard spot. He can play e where at a high level and I believe in a year or 3 he will be one of our starting guards. He played LT, RT, LG at Washington and was 1st team All PAC-12 at all 3 positions. He is 6’7’’ 328 lbs so he is big too. Feel real good about our depth.
Von Bell is one of the most underrated players in the NFL. The dude is smart tough hard hitting and is good. He never misses games. Ever. We saw what Geno Stone could do last year. Bell is a great tackler Stone has better ball skills although Bells last year with the Bengals he had 4 interceptions too. And our third safety should be a starter to and will be next year. He will still play a lot this year too and that Jordan Battle. Battle is an extinct commodity. What do i mean? He is a defensive back who was trained by and coached by Nick Saben. He and his his former teammate Brian Branch are the last of their kind. He was recruited and played under Saban for 4 years starting 3 of those years. And out 4th safety is one of the best athletes at safety in the NFL. Tycen Anderson is his name out of Toledo. In 2 years when Stone is gone he will be a starting safety for us. He is 6’2’’ 210 lbs and runs a 4.36. Both of our outside CBs Dax Hill and Cam Taylor Britt run 4.38 and we got DJ Turner behind then who runs a 4.26. And all of our other safety’s and CBs run in the 4.5’s. I believe outside CBs need to be faster than 4.5 and all of ours are they either need to be faster than 4.5 or smart enough to play around that. Like Mike Hilton isn’t that fast at 4.51 but he is very quick and twitchy at nickel CB. Hilton is also a top 3 nickel CB in this league. If not the best. He should have made at least 2 Pro Bowls by now. He is a phenomenal player who gets a lot of sacks too. Very good at the CB blitz.
Amarius Mims played 878 college snaps. That’s includes 2 national championship game Starts. He gave up 0 sacks 0 QB hits and 3 pressures over that span. That amount of snaps For a college lineman is about 1 year worth of snaps about 12-13 games. He is inexperienced he is NOT raw. The guy is flawless it’s like god made this kid in a laboratory to play offensive tackle. I have never seen a kid so young with so little experience with technique that is so flawless. He received great coaching in HS and that Georgia. He is going to be o r of the greats.
This is the best offensive line Burrow has had since he left LSU. Trent Brown is an elite pass protector and a dam good run blocker. Pass blocking I would give them a B- Burrow has a strong arm. I don’t know where it came from that he has an average arm. He does not. He has an above average arm strength. Weapons would be an A. The third WR this year is going to be Andrei Iosivas. Remember that name he is going to be great. Burton will be great too but this isn’t his breakout year it’s Iosivases breakout year. We got Gesicki and great TE and Tanner Hudson another good pass catching TE and Trenton Irwin is a solid reliable WR. Burton will be WR3 next year. Next year it will be Chase, Iosivas, and Burton will be our top 3. Charlie Jones is also a great slot WR and after Irwin is gone Jones will take his spot. Irwin is 28 so he is getting on up there in age.
Mims is built like a rock too. Very little fat on this kid. He isn’t your typical 6’8’’ 340+ pound tackle if there is such a thing. He isn’t like Giants OT Evan Neal. Neal looks fat Mims does not. He looks built. Trent Brown looks kind of fat and Orlando Brown does to to a degree but Mims is in great shape physically. Now when you are Orlando and Trent Browns size you do not Have to be a great athlete because their size can mask some of their unathletic traits and their arm length too. Mims is 6’8’’ 342 and ran a 5.04 40 yard dash. That’s fast for someone of his size. Very fast. So Mims is big and is a superior athlete. Orlando and Trent Brown aren’t as good of an athlete as Mims is but it simply doesn’t matter. Orlando is 6’8’’ 345 and Trent Brown is 6’9’’ 370. Orlando has 35 inch arms and Trent Brown and Mims both have arms that are OVER 36 inches lol 😂.

If Mims had played all year and didn’t have the ankle injury there is no way in hell he would have still been there at pick 18. And the Chiefs tried desperately to jump up in front of us in the draft and draft Amarius Mims. Lots of differant people said the Chiefs wanted Mims bad but luckily for us no one would trade with them.

He is undersized for a 0 and a 2i. The thing Kris struggles with as he did at Michigan is double teams. But when he's signed block he's a huge problem for the opposition.
Yeah Matt Lee has had a great camp and will absolutely be 1st off the bench if Teddy K gets dinged. They released Hill and kept Lee actually...so he won his spot 💯💪 Miami guys are always gnarley whether a pinch under sized or not 😅
Cedric. Johnson isn’t a project. He is ready to go right now. He made the team and will be in the rotation this year. He had 2 sacks in the pre season.
You can be a project and be in the rotation. That's actually how you get these types of guys playing time early without having to throw them out there for too long to be exposed.
@@Broshmo Bud, you said you were confused and literally ASKED where Dax fit in, whether at corner or safety or slot. @aaonpetrie663 merely answered your question
I also answered this when I was talking about the defense in the video. I didn't question if he was the starter but the fit. I merely pointed out I had already said it in the video.
Slim shady, i mean Burrow cant be expected to make it through a season. He is so injury prone, and he is overrated asf. Almost any qb would do well with those weapons.. his back up last year did!
