Hi Nezzle, I am so impressed with the high quality of your videos. In my opinion you're the best Grenadian vlogger. I enjoyed this and all your other vlogs. Carriacou is indeed a beautiful place. Been there twice, and to Petite Martinique once. Thanks for taking the time to showcase the beauty of Grenada and Carriacou. Looking forward to part 2. Have a good day.
Awww thank you so much!!! I work really hard on them so it’s nice to know that the hard work isn’t in vain. I’m really glad you enjoyed it. I’d been to Carriacou as a child but this was my first time as an adult and it was my very first time going to Petite Martinique. I love it over there. Much quieter than Grenada.
Thank you, I just left Grenada last week and had an opportunity to visit but declined because I wanted more time there. I plan on coming back next year to learn more about the local African culture that was maintained. I’ll be following a professor who is doing work on both islands and his family and their African roots. Thank you truly looking forward to visiting and going back to Grenada as well. Bro. Shabazz
Hi Shehnezie, I am so so impressed with the awesome narration and drone shot of the history and scenic views of Carriacou. I must agree with @KAD that you're Grenada's TOP vlogger, sentiments from the HEART. I only recently learned that Saraka was paying homage to our dead ancestors an African cultural tradition passed down through the generations. Carriacou is one of the only island in the Caribbean that still observe some of our ancestral traditions and cultural ways. Amazing vlog; continue producing top-notch vlogs as we in the Diaspora rely on them to info and visuality of homeland Grenada. Continued blessings my dear. #NezFam
Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I really appreciate it. I try really hard to provide quality content that persons can enjoy but also learn from from so I’m quite pleased that that’s the case.
It is so wonderful to see where I spent my first 10 years as a kid, I can actually see where I lived the Hillsborough by the jetty, I have great memories of there.
Yes Nez , I totally enjoyed this one ..I was upset that you actually went to Carriacou without telling me but I won't hold it against you .This was a pleasant , enjoyable surprise . I eagerly anticipate a trip soon . Looking forward to your next upload . Loved this one ..
We are bestowed with so many wonderful blessings 🙏. Gorgeous 😍 island 🏝. I missed out on growing up in Grenada 🇬🇩. I had the opportunity to visit carriacou in 2015 with a good pal of mine who since made his forever transition. Thanks Nezz. Keep up the great work. I enjoyed the video. Namaste.
Sorry about the loss of your friend. It’s nice that you were able to travel together before he passed though. I’m glad you had s nice time in Carriacou
Hi Nezzle, Nice to see Carriacou. Looking forward to part 2. You made a comment about boat ride. Do I assume you feel uncomfortable especially if sea is a bit rough. I had heard that you can fly there but up until recently it was only small planes( holding 4-5 people I think). Now its gonna be 20 on a plane if I remember. I mention that because I don't like small planes when its that high.😊 Enjoy your weekend.
Yes, I felt really sick on the boat. Thankfully I didn’t throw up or anything but it was not a fun experience. I think I might prefer the plane experience. I shied away from the small plane before as well but you’re correct that there’s a bigger one available now so I will maybe give it a try next time.
Hi Nezzle, lovely to see a video for Carriacou finally, remember I said my Great Uncle designed the Grenada flag, he was born in L'Esterre, Carriacou. But thank you, can't wait for part 2.
Yes, better late than never right? I’m glad I was finally able to visit and vlog over there. Your Great Uncle did a wonderful job. Hope you’re enjoying the Carriacou videos.
I always enjoy the drone shots. The closest I’ve been to Carriacou was passing via boat en route from Grenada to St. Vincent, when I was young. One of my first bad experiences on a boat due to Kick’em Jenny 😂😂😂 I’m figuring the same reason why you didn’t enjoy the boat ride.
I’m glad you enjoy the drone shots. I always enjoy looking at drone footage as well. Yeah the boat ride had me feeling sick. I was soooo happy to get off the boat. Carriacou is quite nice and peaceful though. You should try to visit one day.
Awesome vlog, Nezzle! In a few weeks, I'm traveling with my family to Grenada. We are super excited as we've never been anywhere in the Caribbean. While doing research on things to do in Grenade, I found your vlog. Thanks for all of the tips and historical information on Carriacou!!! This video was super helpful!
Hi Nezzle, this was very nice as a grenadian I hae never been to Carriacou! But I hope on my next visot to Grenada that I will be able to visit Carriacou. Your Vloggers are really good Thanks for sharing have a good day.
It's so nice out you that you go all out to please your views did enjoy the first part looking forward for the second part I use to travel to Carricou on weekends with the then prime minister Mr Blaize keep up the good work so proud of you God bless stay safe planning to spend a day in Carricou when I get home
Thanks much! I’m glad you both enjoyed it! I was blessed to have good weather for most of my time there so that helped a lot for the vlog. Take care of yourselves.
It's so great to see videos of the sister isles of 🇬🇩. Nice that Petite Martinique will be included in this series. Regretfully, never been to Petite Martinique , and only one short visit to Carriacou on my part, so I will take them in through your lens, hopefully can visit myself in the future. I enjoyed this video, and eagerly looking forward to the rest of the series.
It was my first time to Petite Martinique so I can’t judge. It’s a really beautiful little island. I’m excited to showcase it. I’m also happy to finally have some content from the sister isles. There’s so much more of Carriacou I want to cover but at least it’s a start. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Hey Nezzle... Thanks for hooking up and sharing the Carriacou video! I was so busy when my family and I visited Grenada in July that I didn't even think about shooting over to Carricou, so you know I've gotta check out your next videos! Btw... Are you from Mt. Moritz?
Heya, you’re most welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it. It had been a number of years since I’d been to Carriacou myself so I understand that. No I’m not from Mt Moritz.
Great video as usual . I also get sea sick whenever I get on any boat , but this was beautiful thanks and continue make exceptional vlog love ❤️ always
Thanks so much! Yes I wanted to capture more on the sea but I had to sit down and put my head down. I hated 90% of the boat ride 😂😂 I’m glad I went though. It was a really great trip! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
I have always use to say to people Carriacou is the best place for staycations.. I love the views of Petite Martinique and PSV from Windward, which is small fishing village on the northeast of the island... The only downside is no guesthouses in that area though..
Yes, I love Carriacou. It's so peaceful and there are so many beautiful views! I didn't get to spend much time in Winward but I hope to do so on my next visit God's willing.
Yes i made it to Carriacou finally!!! Yes I have a close family friend who’s like an aunt there. I visited her while there. I hope to visit again soon though because there was so much of the island I didn’t get to explore
Awesome video & thanks for sharing! This brought back so many memories from when I lived there 20 years ago. Which drone exactly did you use to capture the aerial shots? I may look into getting one :)
Great Vlog, Such a beautful island, thanks for sharing. I will definatly visit Carriacou, when i visit Grenada on vacation. Where can i purchase osprey tickets for the of boat?
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Yes you should visit. You can buy the tickets outside of the boat on the day that you’re going or you can purchase at their office on the Carenage. The tickets are valid for 1 year so if you purchase and can’t go on the intended day, that’s not a problem.
WellMiss Nezzle thanks a lot for this video it was so amazingit was so cool very clear you was vey nice to talk as i had ask you to do very slow and it was very very good
We have several Cays (used primarily for fishing) and also a small island called Navy island which is not very far from the mainland on the northeastern side of Jamaica. Although I don't know much about it I know It is not as big as Carriacou though.
Nice job. So proud of my beautiful island and culture.🤗🤩 One correction though: the hospital’s name is PRINCESS ROYAL. Princess Alice is in Mirabeau, Grenada. Anyway, isn’t time for us to rename our institutions after our people?🤔
I and 80% of the other passengers were so sea sick on the 2 hour boat ride from Grenada to Carriacou January 25, 2023. The staff were amazing helping all of the passengers. The boat ride was the worst experience ever, the waves were coming up over the glass at the front of the boat. We were told the 2 oceans meet each other and there is a volcano under the water. I tried to get a plane to fly back to the island as it was only a day trip. The 19 seater plane did not fly on Wednesdays. Thankfully, the ride wasn’t as bad going back to Grenada.
Wow! I’m so sorry to hear that you had such a horrible experience getting there. The boat ride wasn’t fun for me either but it was nothing compared to what you described. I’m glad your trip back down was better and I hope you enjoyed your time spent in Carriacou, even though it was only a few hours.
Ahh, there is always something for me to comment on. ha! ha1 I never knew there are #Maroons in other parts of the Caribbean. I know I shouldn't be surprised because the transatlantic slave trade impacted the region. We have #Maroonsettlements here in Jamaica for eg we have Moore Town and Accompong Maroons.
Sincerely i spent 2 months on this island and it was one of the worth stay i had. What a nightmare q How dirty the island is ! Empty beer bottles every where, lot of garbage everywhere, people insulting you when simply walking, poor annoyed Retired people, nothing to do, music speakers late in the night, expensive restaurants with very average food, and so on and so forth. I lived on my boat, and i left quickly this place. Iike most of french people.
Yes, you can still live there. We are resilient people and many people live there. We will build back stronger and better than before. Currently though, the islands are recovering from the passage of Hurricane Beryl so you can’t do much there currently.
