***** Aaaah, I'd like to see that as well.... Some proper satisfying loadwheel action. The meter won't know what hit it. :D If you do the experiment at off-peak time, you'll get the FUNN at a discounted price! :D It's bit of a shame that the meter didn't have a higher loadwheel characteristic. Your one only has 187.5 revs/kWh, so it'll need some hefty load to get the wheel to buzz around at a decent speed. A Ferranti FNE meter with 225 revs buzzes around quite nicely at 40A, but that's its loading capacity, which is probably why you don't have a Ferranti FNE-type meter..... You would've popped it by now. :D Still, at least your one has a higher loadwheel characteristic than our old L&G CL-147h, which only had a characteristic of 150 revs/kWh.... It needs some PROPER AMPS to get one of those to go around at a satisfying speed. I know once, I got a CL-147d-h up to about a guesstimated 100A ( with those two transformers you gave me! :D ) and the meter (which was rated for 80A) was starting to make tricky sounds. :D Speaking of which.... Your meter is also rated only for *80A* If you tug 100A through it for too long, things are going to start warming up a bit uncomfortably in there. :-O If you see a warm orangey-glow inside the back of the meter..... CUT THE POWER IMMEDIATELY...... SHE'S GONNA BLOOOOW !!!! :D Yes..... Some nice loadwheel action at Mr. Photon's house. You'd might as well while you still have a nice chunky loadwheel-based meter, because when they replace that, you'll get a little plastic-fantastic electronic box! Join the ranks of Rodalco2007.... BoomBoxDeluxe and HDXFH ......Have some loadwheel action on your channel. :D -BoomBoxDeluxe. _2nd October 2014, 17.20_
