Honestly, the best solution if uploading exists in my opinon is to upload the brain to an isolated system. Humans may be a hive-mind based on our primal groupthink, but the _person_ is _independent._ To isolate the host computer for the brain would prevent malicious organizations from access of thought (which is the same reason I oppose mind-reading as a superpower due to its inherent unethical nature). However, the host computer still accesses the thoughts of the brain which is tantamount to mind reading, which is why I strongly oppose mind uploading in real life. Our data online is already being sold like a commodity, our thoughts and consciousness shouldn't be next to go. Besides, what's the point to life if you can live forever (which is why I also despise immortality because it removes what defines life: death)? Life isn't forever, and that's a good thing. Make sure you live the best one you can with the hand you've been dealt, because a game that cannot be ended no matter what is no fun. I know that I am late, but this message is for all who will listen.
