Welcome to Mystara: Drums on Fire Mountain 

Ah. The relief on my players faces when they finally got to the point where I turned off the repeating drumming background music that had been continuous for 2.5 sessions… One of my favourite DnD memories.

I've discovered your channel through your group page on FB. I LOVE your focus on Mystara. When AD&D was made, Mystara seemed to become the step child. Keep on the Borderland was Mystara! Bargle was from mystara! This adventure as well as The Isle of Dread! It truly is it's own world. Hope to start playing Mystara using 5E rules soon. Oh, and First? That a thing here?

Even in a bad movie though, Lance Hendrickson generally puts on a pretty good performance.

There is so much hate for this module out on the web, but as you sort of point out, it's really not warranted. Drums on Fire Mountain is just a tropical island-flavored hack-and-slash module. Yes, there's copious pulp tropes about the whole affair being applied, but this is a Mystara module; pulp fantasy is literally Mystara's defining attribute. I kind of hoped you'd weigh in on the controversy, but on reflection, I'm glad you didn't, because I really think it's overblown and doesn't deserve the attention it demands. Let the module stand on its own merits, which are those of a perfectly average hack-and-slasher.
