Great tour, looks like you have customised the layouts which is very sensible and greater use of the space, will go back and now peruse your adventures
Thanks for the tour of your lovely home and Boat. What a fantastic life style, I have a Magregor 26m you just given me the incentive to sail more. Dave Thailand.
Thanks for your concern, we will look into it. I do like to point out that Lagoon certainly isn't the only brand with (bulkhead) issues. And that we are very satisfied with their after service.
@@SailingNohma Yeah, I'm aware of the other bulkhead issues. That's why I'm now looking into building an aluminum Roberts-Bruce designed cat. Good luck with your boat. And safe journeys!
I can imagine a 2-4 month trip on a nice well kept up to date-code modern boat, but after the 2-4 months I probably don’t wanna do it again for another couple years.
Sometimes it gets a bit challenging to live on board full time but there is enough variety so it definitely doesn't get boring. And we take some time off each year to recharge 😁 Thanks for watching!!
Thank you!! We are very happy with our Lagoon, still think we made the right choice. The bulkhead issue is mostly a problem on the 45's I believe. The 46 has a completely different design, but we will look further into it. I would like to point out though that Lagoon is not the only brand with bulkhead issues, or other issues for that matter. Thanks for watching!
thank you guys, Great view of your lovely boat. She really is huge. Quick question, Your Highfield, is it PVC or Hypalon aND what size is it and do you find it big enough having the steering console installed? thanks and safe sailing
Thanks for watching!! Our highfield is a 340 hyphalon. We think it’s big enough for the four of us. There is plenty of space to go grocery shopping or to take 2 extra people when necessary. We love the steering console!
Very beautiful and elegant boat ⛵️, from the outside it looks small but from the inside it's looks verging and comfortable with all the necessary equipments 👍 you will have a magnificent adventure
I am writing a book and was researching a boat for my lead character to live on. I watched many videos on different liveaboard boats, but yours impressed me the most. Thank you for the thorough and interesting tour of your Lagoon 46. It will work perfectly for my story.
Sounds interesting. Notify me when you`re done. The "Great Marina Novel" has been waiting to be written for 4 and a half decades, since the heyday of "Marina Rock". Speaking of which: Crosby, Stills & Nash: Southern Cross (1982): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bw9gLjEGJrw.html
Very awesome, Thank you for a look at your home. Like others have stated below, Lagoon has issues with the bulkheads breaking, just a thought but you might reach out to Sailing Parlay Revival and bounce some ideas off them, I would hate to see you all have the same problems as them. Be safe out there.
Hi both, thanks for the video. Great to see your confidence in front of the camera growing. I’d be really interested to see Sven do a technical walk around of what is below the skin - nobody has done it really well for the L46 yet.
Nohma in Ancient Greek means: ‘to intend, to perceive, to see, to understand’ which is a beautiful description of what we plan on doing: travel, explore and learn. And it's hint to the word 'nomad'. If you want to know more about how we came up with the name, you can read all about it on our website, here's a link to the related blog post: www.sailingnohma.com/post/the-beginning And thanks for watching!!
Nice video and thank you for inviting us into your personal space, very much appreciated. On a side note, please ignore the "critics" it's the easiest thing in the world to sit at home and insult others. The basic truth is, they are stuck at home and you are living the life you want to! It's beautiful and a fantastic way to raise your kids!
Great to be able to see the layout! Seems to be well thought out and practical! And of course a beautiful hostess to point out the features. Thanks for sharing. 😎🏖🌴☀️🇦🇺
You have a magnificent Yacht! I cruised for many years and nobody had anything like yours. That was in the 1970's and not even the richest people had as nice a boat as you have. Cruising boats have sure gotten better equipped, much roomier, and safer over the decades. If your boat had been at a boat show back then people would have been stunned. It would seem more like a space ship out of Star Trek than any boat we could buy. But calling your boat, a boat, doesn't do it justice, it truly is a Yacht.
Nice tour. Beautiful boat. I am enjoying your youtube channel. I notice you have a water maker. Did you have it from the factory or was it an after market installation? I also would enjoy a technical tour addressing the solar and water maker systems. What brand is the water maker? Where is it installed? And what brand of solar panels did you use? Thanks. Safe travels! Hope to see you on the water someday.
Thanks Linda! Our solar panels are LG, we installed them ourselves. The watermaker is custom built and designed by Sven. I'll ask him if he's up for a technical tour 😉
Absolutely beautiful, Tina. Thanks for the tour. The 46 is certainly a big boat ‼️ It is one of the few we are looking at. Thank you and Sven. ✨🌊⛵️🏝👙🌞✨
Thank you for showing your beautiful yacht. Catamarans have such innovative layouts and functionality, they are very interesting. I learned to sail when I was a kid but am now interested in a trawler style yacht. Thanks again and I will certainly follow your travels. Fair winds and following seas on your epic journeys.
Nice Boat 🚢. But Lagoon has a big problem with there bulkheads. You may want to keep a VERY VERY Close eye 👁 on thim. Thank you for your video 📹. Aloha and Mahalo from the Big Island 🏝of Hawaii 🏝
Great boat tour guys ! We enjoyed watching how you organized things. It gave us some very good ideias here for JOY. (Dyson storage. :)) all the best Ed and Patricia
The 40 series range from Lagoon from the 440 through to the now 46 has always been impressive, this new model is so much better in a number of ways. Congratulations on your new home.
@@SailingNohma Ooh you are the same family!! With the pigeon!! Thought it was rent or sold... Is it possible that maybe you changed haircut and i got confused... haha... Anyway... wish you get out the most of this carribean now new exploration!!! With NOHMA...
Thanks!! I've had it for a while now, don't remember where I got it, but the brand is Springfield. I just took a lot of clothes from home that I already had with me on the boat. And I bought some stuff in Decathlon before we started sailing.
I wouldnt trust the company from what i have heard and read. Cosmetics are one thing but get beneath the surface and you see a different thing that i wouldnt want to trust my family too Lagoon is a charter vessel not a blue water go anyware yacht
I guess it's a matter of filtering what you hear and read. All brands have issues. Of course we don't only look at the cosmetics when deciding to buy a boat to live on with our children.
I have been watching since you bought your catamaran. Just now subscribed. Good luck to you all manny manny fun and exciting placess awaits your arrival. You and boys will a treasure these life experiences for their entire lives. Make those memories coun.
Beautiful Catamaran 🙂 We are looking to buy our first Catamaran early next year. If you have any advice, we would love to hear it. We are in Melbourne, Australia. We will be schooling our kids whilst traveling the world also 🙂
Exciting!! Our advice is enjoy it to the fullest! Even with the bad days included it’s so worth it.😁 If you have any specific questions, feel free to send us a message. See you out there somewhere…
I love your boat. I owned a L450 for 8 years and will buy another Lagoon in the next couple of years. Two thoughts; There are 1000 opinions on anchors and anchoring, but your one will cause you sleepless nights in a blow. Rocna 33 ideal for the L450 L46, plus 80m of 12mm chain. In 2015 Yahn, from Lagoon visited my yacht in Auckland NZ. We had the Leisure Furl. I don't know why Lagoon still don't offer as an option. I would not go on the ocean without it, period! In 40kts and 5m swells leaning over the stern to untangle reefing lines loses its appeal. Also we would sail more on a day out as it was as easy as the jib furler.
Thanks for watching and for your advice! We have actually always been very satisfied with the standard anchor and never had any trouble with it, even in places where other boats were dragging. But because we were looking for a spare anchor and we came across the opportunity to upgrade, we did. We now have a Spade and use the standard one as a spare. Any ideas on which boat will be your next one?
Thank you for opening the doors of your house and showing. They have a very nice boat, I think there is no person who gets excited about your adventures.
Thanks!! We try not to go out sailing in a storm but if we can't avoid the rough weather we make sure the kids stay inside and whoever of us goes on deck is safely strapped in. You need to be extra cautious in these situations and have trust in your boat.
Thank you for thr tour my wife is totally satisfied with what she saw. I am not (yet). You showed the solar panels 5x400W - They are all mono-crystalin- OK How many Victron Energy Solar controllers receive the power of the five panels? Do you have them in parallel or some in series? How many Ah is your system battery bank? Where are the batteries located? What type of batteries do you have? Which engines do you have? Did you opt for the bigger size 57 hp engines? Do you have 3 bladed folding props? which type? Do you have a power generator? If so where is it located? How is the access to the engines for maintenance? What water maker do you use? what capacity in l/h and can you run it off the batteries? It's going to be my next boat. May I suggest you make an all technical boat tour of your Lagoon 46 with the same dedication as you did this movie? Thanks for your input
I suggest you trust your wife in this 😄 But ofcourse we would love to answer all your questions so you can feel 100% satisfied as well. Could you please send us a quick e-mail (mailus@sailingnohma.com) so Sven can reply the info to you? And we should indeed do a technical tour, I'll put it on the planning. Thanks!
Thank you for the tour . It is nice to see how life onboard can be. How you can all spend time on your own with all the space you have. But also you can spend so much time together. Wow beautiful and so many places to store essentials . Keep the adventure going.
We already took the factory upgrade for the fridge and freezer. 😄 There is also the option to put an extra one in the outside cabinet but we have enough space at the moment. Thanks for watching!
OHOHOH It looks like having a housewarming party xD. btw how tall are you? I'm 183cm. Can I lay beds comfortably? I dont want to hit my head on the ceiling. 😁
It is a nice tour and informatif. If I can ask, from where you get the power source for the cabin air conditioning, is it from the solar panel or genset unit
Love the kids art work on the wall..Your house looks atlot more like a cozy home, that is warm welcoming and inviting, not one of those boats that looks like you can't touch anything, your can't walk in certain areas, because it's roped off and only for appearances. I loved this home. Great tour. New fan, can't wait to see more from you guys
Thank you, that's very kind! We don't have a patreon page because we want everyone to be able to enjoy our videos for free. But anyone who appreciates our work and wants to support us, can buy us a drink on www.buymeacoffee.com/sailingnohma.
