Wow, watching this video and seeing the real house that the Walton's home is based on? That really gives me an interesting perspective on the whole series! Based on what I've seen in this video it seems like his life would have been very similar to what John boy, Jim Bob, Maryellen, jason and Ben, and the rest of the Walton family would have lived on the TV series! It seems very rural and like his family had a country lifestyle for Earl hamner Jr and his family. They were Appalachian mountain folk and that's exactly what the Waltons on television were in my opinion. I'll admit I know very little to almost nothing about that type of life, since I came from suburban Long Island New York myself! My life experience was very different from Earl hamner Jr's life experience. Neither life experience is right or wrong they're just different.
No they don't. I am thankful for DVDS that I have of older shows before my time that my parents introduced me to because they wanted me to watch quality shows, like Emergency (squad 51) Family Affair (with Brian Keith and Victor French) Adam 12, & of course The Waltons just to name a few. I also have Flipper (the dolphin) and Gentle Ben (about the pet bear) :)
