We found you totally by accident (back when the RU-vid suggestions were relevant) shortly after you launched in 2013, and we watched it as avidly and excitedly as any big tv show, complete with "don't you dare watch it without me!"
Wasn't expecting that clip when I reviewed this video for the first time and it caught me off-guard; he's sorely missed! He was central to my move to Chicago, and my biggest champion from the start. It's fitting to include him in here.
Been watching since the very first episode, and this show is the reason that I went back to school for a Master's in Museum Studies and why I'm pursuing the career that I secretly always wanted! (I definitely name dropped The Brain Scoop in my Statement of Purpose during the application process) THANK YOU FOR THIS WONDERFUL LITTLE RU-vid CHANNEL!
I love this channel! I've been around since the Missoula days but Chicago has always been a big part of my family's life and The Field Museum was one of my earliest large scale natural history experiences! Even though I'm now hundreds of miles away, I've managed to come back a handful of times. This channel is an amazing peek into the depths of treasures housed within the museum and I'm so thankful you are around to share it with us! Thank you Emily, and the whole team, for being continuously inspiring 😀💙❤
I absolutely love this channel and I understant that its not for everyone BUT maaaybe I have a concern about the first content material of this channel, dead animals could potentialy freak out some people (Despite the warning) and as a museum channel i think that you actually want THAT people in your channel. Dead animal shots could come in the near end of the trailer or some? Just an opinion. Sorry in advance for my weird english.

I know you have "insect adventures", but is there another playlist, or way I can find your videos dealing with insects without going thru the entire video list? It really are the insect vids that interest me. While I enjoy all of God's creations, insects are what really fascinate me
I love this! But if I may offer one tiny piece of advice... the warning that you give at the beginning about graphic content gives no time for anyone really to turn away before there is an immediate dissection of an animal happening on a table in front of their faces. It stands to reason that there will be children who will see this channel trailer, be interested in watching, and won't even have time to read the disclaimer let alone turn away. Truthfully, even parents might not catch it fast enough, and because the title of the channel is "Brain Scoop" most parents wouldn't think that the following content might be so graphic so quickly. I'm not arguing with having dissections on the channel or anything like that - I think it's a wonderful! But maybe just a little bit of measured consideration will keep you from any potential backlash. I just thought maybe I should say something about that part. Anyway, love the channel idea and subscribed. Can't wait to see the content!
And they will learn that its initially a bit gross, then fascinating, and then totally endearing. what can possibly be wrong about kids knowing an animal is made of meat and bones? no gore, skeletons and jokes? shes gonna kiss it! seriously, less cotton wool. I really think any healthy kid would be fine with that second or so, and want to know more. well edited. *ahem* excuse me whilst i nerd out for a sec... Em-I-Ly! Em-I-Ly! BRAIN, SCOOP! YEAH! ... its still got brains on it
Of course i did. I think the whole point of that part was to not give parents a chance to step in. Hence, well edited. I can hardly dissagree with anything else you said. No offense was intended, just saying i think it was carefully considered and quite deliberate.
@@arjovenzia Ooooohhh... OK, I understand what you were saying now. Stupid internet. So hard to "read" people sometimes. I always try to post a/o reply calmly, and I always ask for clarification on a poster's comment... just in case I misunderstand. Thank you for taking the time to clarify your response, and for doing so in a levelheaded manor. Nice to know there are others out there, just trying to have genuine conversations. 😊
@@AGDinCA honestly, i think internet misunderstanding may be be the downfall of our age. But at least here on BrainScoop, we try and understand one another. Its the scientific process in action. Not just freewheeling into vitreol, check the question, understand each other. Communicate! Probably nobody but you will read this deep into this thread, and thats ok. I have seen the movie and Someone who Was there. Thought it might 🤔 have Been because The hospital tent ⛺ was in the in the enclosure and the smell of the blood brought them in
